Started strong, ended really bad
This drama was very underwhelming. For the positives, Kim You Jung's acting was amazing, she just has the face of someone that can act like a sociopath. The OST and the production of the drama were also really good. For the negatives, Kim Young Dae's acting could be better, some scenes the viewer couldn't understand his emotions at all. For the argument itself, the story is bad. A girl that was abused, abandoned, tortured since a child ends up being the bad guy of the story. It is true that she used the first man to cover up her father's murder, however the rest she wasn't the one to be blamed at all. And the end was terrible. Jun Seo acknowledged that A Jin was in an abusive relationship and still his first thought was how evil she was and how he could blame her, no sympathy at all for her situation. In fact, if we analyze the entire story, we understand that she was a victim of the circumstances. Her stepmother drowned her, her father beat her up every time he was with her. Re Na bullied and physically assaulted her, In Gang was already deep into his depression before committing suicide. Grandma fell of the stairs, her high school stalker stabbed her and Jae O wanted to die for her. Honestly, she can be barely blamed, at all.Was this review helpful to you?

Oh what a mess
The first episodes where intense and good and the story was decent. But then it started to derail and the last episode was the epitome of comedy.First of all, the story starts with Da-rim's sister stealing their family's money. Throughout the episodes she's not even mentioned once, and mind you she's the reason the plot exists (Da-rim goes to Jeju because of her wedding, joins Natural Bebe because they don't have money, etc). Finally when the writers decide to acknowledge her existence in the last episode, Da-rim goes to Jeju island to search for her but then somehow forgets she went there to search for her sister. This is a huge plot hole that I cannot ignore, even for a Rom-com.
Second, I strongly disliked the dynamic of the second couple. In the beginning of the drama, Kim Mu-jun's character was very charismatic and likeable, partly because he seemed to be a good father, however the writers messed up on his storyline when they decided to make him Da-rim's love interest. I do understand that human feelings change and someone can develop something stronger when the situation feels threatened (as in, the appearance of Jang Ki-yong's character in their life disrupted their relationship dynamic thus developing jealously), and because of this I will forgive the writers for how they handled it. However, the second female lead storyline was a mess. Starting from the beginning, she'd always beg for Seon-u attention even though he clearly stated numerous times that he didn't want anything with her. But surprise surprise, they end up together in the last episode. You can say that it was implicit after Ha-yeong went to search for his child, however after denying her several times, it just doesn't make any sense for them to have a relationship. And that last scene in the gallery with the foreigner? That was very awkward.
Third, well, let's talk about that last episode. What a mess. The memory loss was really unnecessary, they could've taken more time to develop another part of the story. What happened to Tae-yeong's investigation in the last episode? Was he guilty or not? Why even showing Ji-hye's police statement if that plot was not developed? Did she feel remorse in the end? I guess we will never know. There were things I liked, such as Jang Ki-yong's mother getting the company in the end (sweet revenge) and the TF team member's getting together and having a baby (wholesome and I wish they showed us more about their relationship).
There were too many time jumps in the last episode and too many undeveloped storylines for my taste. They could've easily created an entire second season with that last episode but I guess Netflix didn't give them the green light.

I was really, really loving this show...
If there is something that I've been loving is slow dramas. Chinese dramas are particularly good at this, but Korean dramas also come up with some masterpieces from time to time. "When the Weather is Fine" is a warm, peaceful and cozy k-drama that makes you comfortable when the rain is pouring outside.I loved the calmness but troubled and anxious male lead. Actions do indeed speak louder than words and I fell in love with his character, so much that it has marked my k-drama path. He is quiet in words but loud in thoughts at the same time. He is simple but also complex, with so much love to give and anxious about receiving said love back.
I was loving this drama until the 14th episode, and admittedly my rating went from a 10 to a 7. Up until the *9th episode*, I was giggling at the main couple, it gave me so much warmth and coziness that is missing in today's dramas, but after the revelation of the true killer of the FL's father, the show went downhill for me. I didn't like how the writer's failed to show that the true villain of the story is her dad and not her aunt (or even mother). Hae-won's reaction was unsympathetic and unjust, and I get that she has been lied by her family but the fact that she still defended her father after knowing her mother suffered from domestic violence is beyond me.
As the user @Ellie commented in their review: "I feel like the show gives the abuser (a sort of) free pass, trying to present him as a ‘good’ father and socially likable. (...) I needed a scene where he was vocally called out and branded as he was – a manipulator and an abuser, that scene never happened.(...) Society plays a crucial role (along with the law system) in situations like these. Women should be able to speak up and be heard, not blamed. Society as a whole needs to open the topic of domestic abuse and not bury its head in the sand".
K-dramas have this habit of starting really well with a strong plot and and a good production, only to later drop in quality immensely. I honestly was really sad that this happened to this show because I was really loving it and it was a strong contender for my all time favorite k-drama.

Started with a cute concept, then fell off
I loved the concept of the first part of the drama. It was realistic and dramatic, with comedy lines that mixed really well. The travelling and the challenges in the language translation were innovative and different, and even the miscommunication scenes were enjoyable (something that I'm usually not a fan of). So many cute and funny scenes. After the 7th episode it started to fall off, mainly due to the change in the plot. I guess I'd have preferred something more "realistic", and honestly I wasn't a big fan of the changes of personality. If they were necessary for character development? Yes, but I'd have preferred if they'd gone with another approach. And the break-up scenes were also starting to piss me off, there was absolutely no reason for that many break up scenes.
The drama would have been perfect if it was shorter. I loved the OST, the acting but most of all I loved the scenery and definitely the production.
