Since most of us watched the FL’s previous drama and fell in love with the romance, let me tell y’all something! 👀 If you’re expecting Doctor X to be romance-heavy, you might be disappointed because this show is ALL about hospital politics, power struggles, and corruption. 👩🏻⚕️🔥 BUT MY GIRL STANDS FIRM IN HER PRINCIPLES, AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE HER CHARACTER!!! 😭👏🏽❤️ Please give this show some love and support, y’all! 🥹🫶🏼 It’s SO GOOD so far, and she deserves all the hype!! 🔥✨
not gonna lie, this drama had me LAUGHINGGGG. the ultra-rich male lead trope may be cliché, but let’s be real… it’s a classic for a reason. the plot is unserious, the comedy is chaotic, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need after watching too many emotionally damaging k-dramas. 😭 is it groundbreaking? no. is it entertaining? ABSOLUTELY. sometimes we just need a little romance, a little ridiculousness, and a drama that doesn’t take itself too seriously. 😂🫶🏼
IDC if you don’t like this drama 😭 This show??? EXCEPTIONAL. NO NOTES. ZERO. 🚨 The plot? Plotting. The chemistry? CHEMISTRY-ING. Me? SAT. LOCKED IN. UNWELL. 📈💥 Bottom line: it’s SOOOOOOOO good
Introduced my cousin to k-dramas today she said "i don't really watch that stuff" she watched. she wept. she full body ugly cried. Meanwhile me, on my 7TH rewatch, sitting there like "first time?" 😭😭 When life gives you tangerines is not a show it's a LIFESTYLE soooo damn goooood, no notes!
she just texted me "why would you do this to me" and honestly? this is the k-drama initiation ceremony and she passed with honors 🍊
I came for Bai Lu and Joseph Zeng, and they delivered. Too bad the plot didn't. Their chemistry deserved an award, but the pacing deserved a rewrite. Give them another drama with a script worthy of their performances.
I hope no one takes this the wrong way, this is just my personal opinion as someone who has supported Zhao Lusi…
I think it's a fair critique, and you make some valid points, even if a lot of people will disagree with you. I think what you're really saying is that Zhao Lusi hasn't been curating her public image as carefully since leaving her previous agency. I actually agree with that to a certain extent. She's giving fans much more access to her now, so naturally some of that novelty is going to wear off.
That said, I also think she's choosing to explore how she wants to connect with her audience instead of following the usual celebrity playbook. There's nothing wrong with her being more visible through content creation, concerts, and other activities if that's the direction she wants to take.
What I don't agree with is judging her too harshly for it. She's been through a lot, and none of us knows what it's like to be in her position. It's easy to criticize from the outside, but I think she deserves a little more grace and a little less negativity.
Why did the rating drop from 8.6 to 8.4? I genuinely thought this was a well-made and emotionally engaging drama.
The greatest strength of the series was its two leads. Both the male and female leads gave compelling performances that brought depth and authenticity to their characters. Their chemistry felt natural, their emotional scenes were convincing, and their individual character growth made it easy to stay invested in their journey. They balanced vulnerability, resilience, and emotional complexity exceptionally well, making many of the drama's most memorable moments feel genuine rather than forced.
My only critique is the portrayal of mental health. Since the drama explores conditions such as PTSD and psychosis, I believe it would have benefited from consultation with licensed mental health professionals during the writing process. While I understand creative liberties are often taken for dramatic effect, some aspects of these conditions were portrayed in ways that were not entirely accurate. A more nuanced and clinically informed depiction would have added greater authenticity, strengthened the emotional impact of the story, and helped avoid reinforcing common misconceptions about mental illness.
Overall, despite that criticism, I thoroughly enjoyed the drama. The strong performances, engaging storytelling, and emotional depth made it a memorable watch, which is why I was surprised to see its rating decrease.
Korean netizens have this hounding culture where a vocal minority can kick up a huge fuss over nothing & sometimes…
I am aware that K-netizens are often excessively strict and impose unrealistic standards. The question is where they draw the line, if there is one at all. Is there any system in Korea to regulate this kind of behavior and protect production teams? That level of collective scrutiny could be directed toward real problems, you know what I mean?
BUT MY GIRL STANDS FIRM IN HER PRINCIPLES, AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE HER CHARACTER!!! 😭👏🏽❤️

welcome to the club and emotional damage.
