on episode 14 and i’ve never been so angry at a characters mother. i don’t even care if they try to redeem her she is literally SO disgusting for bringing that rapist trash back into their house. after what he did to her daughter? like are you serious?
I think people are allowed to have complaints about this drama. even the tag says romance for some people who thought they might just be friends or have companionship. Firstly, there's nothing wrong with an age gap! Lost is airing right now and I personally love the chemistry between the two leads there. So I don't think people should pretend like what everyone is upset about is the age gap, clearly, a lot of comments are expressing being uncomfortable about the possibility of there being a relationship between an adult teacher (position of power) over a minor. Yes, people are aware this is a common trope in j-dramas, but that's not the point here? So, I suppose we will all see what else is said when it airs, but chill. People aren't sensitive for the possibility of finding these topics upsetting. You can still watch it even if it's getting critiqued by those who find the trope to be offensive. But MDL is about expressing opinions, people are gonna do it.
negativity, when dramas aren't even out yet, is so pointless. go direct that energy elsewhere! anyway. I'm excited to see this and it's always interesting to see how adaptions from webtoons turn out,
It simply took Shiyi a while to notice his feelings for her, but he started liking her as far back as senior year…
True! I agree. That's a good observation of how ML and SML differ in "love languages" based on their upbringings.
There's also the way Shiyi would do things like sending Xiaoju's little brother away while Cheng Lang was tutoring her so she could focus better. It's the little things that someone may or may not notice right away, but it's still obvious he cares. Like in ep. 9 when she runs away from home to college early, he goes to get her a mattress and thermos flask. He might tease with words, but his actions go a long way. I haven't finished yet either but I still think it's interesting to note.
