Hello President Park it's time to snap out of it my dude, you're getting played by that snake Do Yun Wan. Cut that toxicity out of your life and thrive~
Also I thought that Chairman Shin was dead?? Didn't he pass away and that's why Do Yun Wan became chairman?
It's so frustrating how they're changing everything about Doldam hospital without even discussing things with the people who define Doldam, but they're snakes so I can't say I'm surprised. The thing I can't believe is that after that whole conversation with Teacher Kim, President Park is still so focused on the wrong aspect of being a doctor. Prioritizing VIPs over trauma patients? I thought his guilt from the bus accident was because he was ashamed he turned his back on those who needed help since he was a doctor - so why does he feel no shame turning away trauma patients who rely on Doldam's ER?
And what is up with that anesthesiologist? 11 episodes in and I still don't get her whole deal. She's been cold and dismissive towards the Doldam family since the beginning. I'd originally thought she was neutral and just did her own thing, but now I'm like nvm - she on a side and it's not Doldam's.
I really hope it wasn't Jeong Hyuk who got shot again. At this point I feel like both main characters have gone through that near-death experience and recovery in the hospital, so cramming another scene like that in the last two episodes might be overkill.
Me at Man Bok when he's holding the gun: BOY IF YOU DON'T PULL THE TRIGGER. Maybe not kill him bc I want his ass to rot in jail but SHOOT HIS KNEECAPS IDC!!!!
Aside from that vile Cheol Kang, I can't even begin to express the magnitude of hatred I have for Se Hyung and his snake wife. I hope they lose everything. There's one thing with wanting to succeed and friendly sibling rivalry, but they take it too far. They fail to realize that Seri was chosen as the heir for a reason, and instead blame it on her being manipulative, etc. First, trying to keep Seri in North Korea, then trying to kill her bc she's more capable than you are? Ugh it's time to take the garbage out :/
I love how strong the bond is between Seri and the NK squad. They're so wholesome, it makes me sad thinking about whether or not they'll be separated at the end (hopefully, with that kdrama miracle, they all end up happy in SK together).
what loyalty? she was never loyal to him. actually shes been honest since the beginning, she always said shes…
Oh, I just meant the loyalty that comes with being friends, since she'd admitted that she and Sae Roi were friends when the president asked. The whole montage of them hanging out and stuff had me believing she cherished Sae Roi as a friend. I think she did at some point, but after years of being apart and working under Janga, she's changed for the worse. I'd originally thought that she'd take advantage of Janga and help out Sae Roi, but it doesn't seem to be the case. I agree with you, I don't really support her after seeing how she was in episode 3 :((
I get that the president supported Soo Ah but...how can you just throw away your friendship and loyalty to Sae Roi like that? The president and his shitty son ruined Sae Roi's life and killed his father, who took care of you like you were his own daughter. Soo Ah had agreed to pay Sae Roi's father back three-fold, so shouldn't she start by helping Sae Roi out instead of sabotaging him?
This episode gives me hope that Director Park will change for the better. His whole "inferiority complex" stemmed from a place of deep guilt and shame as a doctor, and I think Teacher Kim really helped ease that burden he was carrying all this time by getting him to recognize he reacted in a way any normal person would've.
I'm seeing that some people find Director Park's reasoning of being the "villain" to be boring, but isn't it similar to Do Yun Wan? Do Yun Wan also can't handle Teacher Kim's righteous attitude and he's greedy for money and power, and that's why he wants to take Teacher Kim down. The only difference is Director Park still has a sense of what being a doctor means, regardless of how buried it may be, and he's an excellent surgeon. Taking him away from the competitive Geodae Hospital environment and under the guidance of Teacher Kim might just result in a change of attitude for the better.
I literally cannot STAND Dr. Yang lol I find him to be so much more aggravating as a character compared to President Park. Boy mediocre at what he does and gets an inferiority complex when Woo Jin gets praised like maybe if you spent less time up Dr. Park's ass and more time working with patients or practicing/studying techniques, you'd actually get recognized for your skills as well??
Ugh he's just lurking around everywhere eavesdropping like some cockroach - like I can't believe he actually just stood by the door the entire time Woo Jin kissed Eun Jae lmao GO AWAY SIR
The real problematic person in Se Ri's family is Se Hyung's wife - she's so greedy and manipulative, acting as Se Hyung's spine cuz that dude unfortunately is too cowardly sometimes. The family gotta throw that whole girl away, then they wouldn't have all this beef with each other. At least Se Jun and his wife are mildly amusing bc they're a bit foolish.
Also - that Memories of the Alhambra music when Jung Hyuk was playing the video game got me feeling nostalgic for a second season :(((
Masahiro is pure flaming trash for having a secret affair when he has a wife and kids. And for 3 years too, during his wife's pregnancy? Anne deserves so much better. That's unforgivable. He should've lost more than just "a few CM deals"; who can look at his face now and want to buy whatever product or service he's advertising? Ugh.
No one better be defending Erika in this situation either, there is absolutely no way she had NO clue AT ALL that Masahiro was married. She helped ruin this couple's marriage, and destroyed her own acting career as a result.
I finally got around to watching this since I'm a huge fan of the main leads. The aesthetics of this drama and the acting was great, though I wish it were a bit longer as it seemed a bit rushed at certain times.
And while I find Woojin and Shimdeok's story incredibly heartbreaking, I also feel terrible for Woojin's wife. She entered into a loveless marriage and devoted her whole life to her husband's family - but then her husband falls in love with another woman, cheats on her for years, elopes, and then ultimately commits shinjū. Woojin and Shimdeok found peace in their death, and I hope Woojin's wife found peace and happiness in her life.
I really hope Dr. Park ends up being a good guy. His morals are ambiguous rn probably due to Do Yun Wan's influence, but I think (hope!!) he's just a guy who's forgotten why he became a doctor in the first place after being swayed by greed. I also feel like he developed some inferiority complex after seeing Teacher Kim - but that'll likely be explored later on.
