If it’s best actress award I would understand your frustration but she got popularity award. I know she is not…
I mean sure she might have been popular as an idol but what does that have to do with anything?
Oh you know that surgeon, he used to work as a dentist but was apparently handsome and people seemed to like him so he decided he deserves to be in the spot light as a surgeon so he went for it. And he's a really shit doctor but now that he's a surgeon still more people seem to adore him because he's handsome so lets just give him a popularity reward.
What did it ruin exactly? It was like 2% romance but kay.
Not a perfect romance but if you gonna have romance at least make it worthwhile. Even if we disagree on how worthwhile it was, one fact is undeniable - it had absolutely zero impact on the plot. If you completely cut it out the plot would be completely unchanged. Because her sister did all the frontloaded heavy lifting lol
She is a spoiled brat at first, but she will have character development after the misunderstanding is cleared…
Personally to me they were not funny at all (except for Dylan acting like an idiot for a bit), altho a part of me understands where they were coming from as these kind of antics have been successfully implemented in other series. Idk, might have been just the wrong combination of writing/actress. But it came across super insufferable, and spoiled, but not in a cute kinda way, in like borderline narcissistic villain way. That's the thing. If they redeemed her it might have been ok. For example in Love And Redemption (aka Love and Misunderstandings haha). Altho LAR is infinitely more annoying they did put in a lot of effort in her redemption. Like several episodes. You can see the action that came out of regret. Here we don't see any sort of hardship she has to go through as a consequence of her action. It's quite the opposite. Everything keeps falling/playing into her hands (including Dylan). The only thing the she turns the leaf over with is her relationship with her Dad matures. But that was there from the get go and it's not a consequence of anything. I haven't read the book so you have to tell me, is the writing similar in the book or have they changed it a lot?

My point exactly. Only 2% = useless. 19 eps of insufferable, character. No redemption, and then few useless scenes, that were stained from those 19 eps before. So brought only annoyance nothing else.

She's really insufferable, borderline despicable throughout. There is no clearing of misunderstanding. It's just swept under the rug, no redemption nothing. They just start ham-fisting forced "cutesy" moments down our throats and we are supposed to pretend that it never happened and all of a sudden start liking/rooting for her. Such cheap emotional bait. I nearly stopped watching because of this.
I hope they focus completely on Dylan and get rid of Tian Xi Wei. They should stop ham-fisting romance into every single series. This one ruined what could have been a near perfect series.
Dylan Wang is improving tremendously in the acting department?! LOLTell me you don't know anything about acting…
You just proved my point. And no this is by no means a respectable statement. It comes from a place of ignorance.
So let me rephrase it so there is no doubt about it: If he was brand new to he industry, yes that would be a respectable statement but to say that to somebody who's been in the industry this long and had the amount of recognition (not fandom!) he had, clearly means one of two things, either you don't know anything about it (and not in bad way - like subjectively you have your favorites based on their energy/looks whatever) or you are incredibly pretentious. Or even both. Which might be the case considering the way you've been replying to me.

I'm probably twice your age darling. And the only one having some sort of obsession problems is probably you, considering the self-righteous response (and the original comment).
But whatever I'll bite: The guy's been in the industry for 3/4 of a decade and for the last 4 years he's mentioned in the same sentence (in reputable sources not here on MDL) as Yang Yang, Cheng Yi, Xiao Zhan AND Wang Yibo and you come up with that comment?! If you personally don't like/fell the guy that's fine, but don't mistake your (questionable?) taste with the reality of the situation. Especially while being pretentious about it.
Hu Ge lol, maybe you can compare him with Andy Lau while you are at it. (facepalm)

Pretentiously attacking my character with 3 wild conjectures, after I question her statement is not overreacting?
I also think Dylan is better actor than Wang Yibo, but that's beside the point.
