Yes, RH killed Xilan clan and only XiYun survided. Her parents protected her, sealed her powers, memory and appearance. She disappeared but from then on she's just an ordinary orchid in the three realms.
One thing I am afraid of is how they always emphasize in the earlier episodes that Xiao Run is not Changheng and XLH is not Goddess of Xishan. In the same way when XLH is reincarnated as Goddess Xishan, she said the same thing that XLH is not her in the teaser for Ep 34. I just want XLH back, please drama gods.

No, I don't think his plan is to let XLH die. From the very start he wanted XLH to hate him , for her love to be shaken so they can take the Bone Orchid from XLH to save her and release the 100,000 soldiers. You can rewatch this in his conversation with Shangque.
I think XF in his frustrations that only DFQC is carrying all the burden, he mentioned how DFQC's suffering and is blaming her. On the scene where XF said sorry to DFQC he can't get back the 100,000 soldiers. I think he is saying sorry his plan did not work. He expected this that XLH won't fall out of love just like that, that's why he replied "It doesn't matter. I have a way." He means he's ready to make a deal with Tai Sui. Asking for help from Tai Sui is his last resort, he knows there will be big consequences if he did this. Just how Rong Hao made a deal with Tai Sui to save his master.
Ep 31 showed that XLH should die for everyone to live. They don't even need CW's primordial spirit anymore to revive the 100,000 soldiers, her death resurrected everyone in the battlefield.
I also just hate how Yunzhong is not even there in the battle and is still calling all the shots at Shuiyuntian. He even forced CW to continue to go to war and protect Shuyuntian when CW already wants to die and be at peace. I want him dead in the next episodes.

"Once the curse-caster starts the command with the Xilan Holy Seal, I can't disobey." Since XLH is the curse-caster she won't get hurt if DFQC is in pain.

Does this mean that what everyone sees is not her true looks, is that why even in the fairy realm and moon tribe they always say her looks is so ordinary and nothing special? Well appearance could also mean her true form sooo.
We know as viewers her appearance won't change when she reincarnates to Goddess of Xishan but in their eyes maybe she'll become more beautiful once she reincarnates? Hahaha...

I've been waiting for this drama to be released since last year TBH. Saw pictures and trailers and I was intrigued. Trailers are already pretty so why not. Looked into the plot and liked it, I can already tell it won't be your typical Xian xia story of having a noble hero etc. I even started to read the novel while waiting for the drama but I wasn't able to finish the novel. Waited for it to be released but started to watching it August 12 as I wanted to binge watch the first part of the story first. Was not disappointed and it really is worth the wait. 😠This is probably my favourite Xian Xia drama so far.
