I just finished episode 2. I can't believe how good it is. They did a great job in bringing it to 2021. I loved the manga and Hana Yori Dango (J). Liked Meteor Garden (C). But could not watch Boys Over Flowers(K). BOF just seemed so wrong and I dropped it quite fast. But so far (2 episodes) I am loving this. It looks like the perfect manga adaptation

Oh, thank you! I did not know that. That's great to know. If I like an adaptation I always try to read the original book but it's sometimes difficult when there are no translations. My languages are German, Turkish and English. Therefore I am limited when it comes to Korean, Japanese or Chinese literature. But still, there were quite a few I was able to read 🤗.

It's great to remember... And as it is so detailed, it's easy to understand why it took you so long.
I understand your feelings and resonate with them.
There were so many details that make this drama worth watching and remembering. The historical cuffs placed on women and royalty... how life is a never-ending changing of good and bad days, of sacrifices and responsibility... they paid attention to so many details and combined with the amazing acting the end result was entertaining as well as teaching life lessons.
I also think that it will not be easily forgotten and be worth coming back to later on
I just finished it and loved it from beginning to the end. One of the very few dramas where I didn't skip or fastforward any scene. That's how much I loved it. Of course fantastic acting, how could it be anything else with this cast. I highly recommend it. It stimulates thinking about life, family bonds, not to take the small things for granted... thank you for a beautiful time
7.5 of 10 - if you're in need of fluff-cozy-fuzzyness, this drama is for you. Usual tropes, nothing new but oh so lovely. After watching it probably everyone has diabetes
I wholeheartedly agree. Just finished ep 1 and as you said, we have quite a lot to look forward to and if it was not for good cop Oh Gyeong Tae I would not have been able to stand all that corruption - Ray of sunshine is a very fitting description
