overrated piece of a drama. Second leads better than main ones. Story literally crashed after few episodes. 4/10
Agreed, it's just average and easy to watch. I would prefer more of the villain and the Rat. The main leads just keep saying bye and crying repeatedly lol
Maybe I’m missing something but Sung Joon falls for Yuri because she was able to comfort him but wasn’t Jung…
He never told his wife anything and even hid from her the fact about his father's existence and that he was born out of wedlock. He only realized how comforting emotional support could be after Yuri was there for him, but Yuri found out everything by chance, a chance Jung Sun never got, which is totally unfair. So I don't think he truly cares if it's Yuri or not, he just wants emotional support but doesn't even realize it because he never expresses himself.
Park Ki Woong is the only reason I decided to watch this drama. The story isn't bad, I just don't care for the main leads (except for Lee Ji Hoon, he's great).
In this drama, our main characters drink coffee and sigh every time they speak, while dramatic orchestra music plays in the background. Everyone is always angry but nothing really seems to happen. I like the premise (who doesn't love a good makjang?!) but this drama is sooooo sloooowwwww that I often find myself skipping through it.
Edit: Seriously, there isn't even any coffee product placement for their coffee addiction to make sense. They just use coffee mugs as props for their insanely boring conversations about their shoemaker parents.
Made it to ep 14 solely due to my love for Song Yoon Ah's strong character. Otherwise, this drama is awful. Let's see if I have the will to watch the last two episodes...
I love how mature Jeha with Yoo Jin & how mature their conversation, they're compatible for eachother…
How is Anna the lead? In the official trailer and credits, Song Yoon Ah is credited before YoonA. Even if Anna gets to be the romantic interest, she's still not the lead female
I'm so glad someone else realizes the use of deus ex machina to cover up plot holes in this drama; you really nailed it with this review!!
I'd say it's not Lee Jong Suk's acting that was particularly bad in his crying scenes; it was the overall lack of feeling with the character and the story that caused us to see "Lee Jong Suk: the Actor" crying, instead of "Kang Chul: the Character." I have a strong feeling that he wasn't connecting very well with his character or the plotline, much like us. But yeah, this definitely wasn't one of his strong performances.
Ah, another deus ex machina, just like every other so-called "plot twist" in this drama. The writers…
I liked QIHM but got bored at some point where the same things happened as they are right now in W (the memory loss concept). As cute and imaginative as the writer's ideas are, a story isn't very solid when you keep throwing in random new details or bringing everything back to the same point. I don't want to wait till the second half; the drama should capture and keep my attention and make sense every step of the way, if it claims to cover an intellectually intriguing concept like this one does. Pushing boundaries is definitely to my taste, but senseless new details thrown in for the writer's convenience are not okay. Some great, currently airing, unconventional kdramas would be Wanted and The Good Wife. These two don't use deus ex machina every single episode under the guise of "plot twists."
I'll definitely keep watching this for as long as I can, so I can be sure of what the writer's "style" turns out to be.

Listening to his music has helped me get through tough times, and helped me celebrate good times :D
