There's no triangle at all because the feeling was one-sided, plus the second male lead never wanted to her the female lead or do anything that would cause a huge understanding, in fact, he's quite helpful and beneficial to her and her husband. You won't hate him at all.

From my perspective, its always like that with maids in historical, not just this one. For instance, The Moon Brightens For you (Xing Fei and Alan Yu) the princess's maid literally belittle other people, or even in Yanxi's place, in the early episode, the main wife's maid didn't care about anyone and assumed she was on top of the world. I think, the confidence they have come from their owner, it just either they mean well or they don't. I honestly feel like most of historical drama's troubles come from maids, cause some of them insert such negative thoughts into their mistresses' heads.

How come? I mean, it make sense tho cause as a man who's supporting his family and married multiple wives, I expected him to either be in late 30s to 40s, so it fit their real age quite nicely, plus Songyun has always acted younger than her age. Glad you're enjoying it tho

Personally because I read the original novel, so I can’t see Jasper Liu and Yu Tong fitting as the role. I’m hoping the drama will come out good because this is one of my favourite novel.

For those curious about the novel, I recommend watching the drama before reading the novel because the description of the characters in the novel will give you a whole new idea of images.
