They made Gemini look like a supporting role in his own series, no character pov, no backstory, even the scenes…
Honestly GMMTV was just riding on the fact that the manga is soo popular and GeminiFourth as a couple nothing else. They put zero effort into direction. Atleast Fourth was able to perfectly portray Aoki
Sorry, but you lost me at your 8/10 rating. There is no justification for rating this series that high. It stunk…
Haha.... I get it... I even mentioned that I'm biased just coz I love this manga soo much. If I were to rate it more critically maybe a 7.2 . As I said I mostly blame it on GMMTV. They've been riding on the popularity of manga and put 0 effort. There's only so much the actors can do without proper direction. My 8 rating is only for the fact that they covered the whole manga unlike the Japanese adaptation and Fourth literally played the character of Aoki perfectly. That character is chaotic and crackhead in manga as well 😂 Fourth was able to portray that perfectly I'd say
Finally it's over. I'd rate it 8/10 and even then I think I'm being biased in my rating unfortunately. Now we can't help but compare it to the Japanese adaptation and while there are pros and cons to both the Japanese adaptation comes above the thai one unfortunately. First let's talk about pros: 1. As someone who has read the whole manga and also presently collecting I loved that they covered the whole manga from start to end unlike the Japanese adaptation. 2. The second couple were given more attention compared to the manga and I loved that for them as they are so lovely. 3. Fourth had exceptional acting and perfectly depicted the chaotic nature of Aoki and there were other small pros as well now coming to cons 1. Unfortunately it felt like gmmtv put no effort into the show itself felt like they were riding on the popularity of the manga/japanese adaptation and GeminiFourth couple. Seems to be the trend with them after seeing Cherry Magic which was good but kinda lacking to it's Japanese adaptation as well (just my opinion ofc). 2. While fourth was exceptional and depicted Aoki the best unfortunately can't say the same for Gemini. Don't get me wrong by no means do I think Gemini is a bad actor if anything felt like a direction issue. But Ida is a character who is stoic with very subtle facial expression in manga unfortunately couldn't see that in Gemini. 3. Some really unnecessary changes. While some were good some were really useless and chaged the message. Example how they made the tutor character gay. While it's fine but in the manga it was a very necessary part as to show the tutor that there was nothing wrong with loving who you want that message was unfortunately lost. Same for the manager girl in basketball team. In manga she likes the coach/teacher. Now I know it's wrong and can see how it could be uncomfortable due to age gap I thought it had a nice message. In manga the coach rejects her obviously but also shows how when ur young getting crushes on ur teacher is nothing new and it was handled perfectly in manga hence didn't need to change. 3. The unnecessary drama with the mother's. While I like the fact they addressed it as in the manga it's it's subtly hinted and both mothers know about it and are fine with it but the drama of it all felt out of place. The manga is very light hearted with little to no drama and I liked the manga for that reason itself. It's light hearted funny and perfectly shows that innocence for ur first love in high school. Personally for me the whole mother won't approve drama kinda felt out of place. But hey despite all that I enjoyed it nonetheless. Was it because I love this manga and story a lot, was it because I just love GeminiFourth a lot or was it some other reason who knows. Also it's funny that in both adaptation they get Aida's(Half) character perfectly fit him lol 😂 Same features same hairstyle I'm kinda surprised and also Aoki's character as well. Anyway it's a good one time watch that's all
They are the descendants of the Doctor who was taking care of the Shrine originally and saved San the first time.…
No I don't think so. Dr Tao is just the priest of that shrine. They are not related at all. The priest who helped San extend his life Dr Tao is either the descendant of his or just a successor
They are the descendants of the Doctor who was taking care of the Shrine originally and saved San the first time.…
I thought it was more like close relatives. Like perhaps they were descendants of San's brother or some other close relative. As in asia it is very common to call your own grandfather's brother or relative like cousins as grandfather as well
I read some comments both here and on youtube basically saying how they found it boring due to offroad's acting. Tbh I feel like he is fairly new to the acting industry so I always judge actors keeping that in mind. If anything I feel like his acting has definitely improved from Love in translation. I won't say it's like a huge improvement but it's definitely noticable atleast to me. Not every actor is gonna be a pro from the get go nor every actor can just improve all together suddenly. While his growth in acting maybe slow but it is there nonetheless and he is improving. I definitely look forward to seeing more of him and Daou in future. So just wanted to say that. I'll review the series after the final episode lol but until now loving it kinda sad it will have only 10 episodes lol. I would have been down for more lol
I won't write a review as there are already many which can tell you how great this series is. I am a little late to the party unfortunately but nevertheless I don't regret it and might watch it again in the coming future. First of I have to say that I'm skeptical to watch GMMTV series as they got a history. Their plots always sound nice and they start strong however the fall off in the end. This has been my experience atleast with their series in the past. However, this one has made me regain some faith. If only the people at GMMTV can carry this on. On the surface the plot seems very cliche however the way they executed it was perfection. Most shows that surround around music fail to portray it properly and barely have any songs. However every episode was jam packed with music and I loved that the focus remained on music and their friendship. If anything TinnGuns relationship felt like a side story running along side it. Now this is how you do a series. I know many series where friendship just disappear after the lead finds a boyfriend thankfully that didn't happen here. And GeminiFourth obviously were the best in their acting. Ican literally write a whole essay on why this series is a must watch and a 10/10 but I'll refrain as it will be too long. JUST WATCH IT GUYSS
Considering how many people are calling it open ending in comments I don't understand whether others are oblivious or I'm smart. The ending shows the two drinks together the same drink mentioned in 1st ep. And the way the lead says you are late agin something the other lead does often shown in ep 2. So it seemed pretty obvious to me that they ended up together
I won't write a review but honestly far better than season 1 for sure.... I watched it quite late due to Dabit but I loved how till the end his feelings remained the same for Yooghe till the end. When he said he was mad at Seonwoo not coz yoonghee liked him but coz he didn't give proper answer to him but left yoonghee hanging. As for yoonghee he as well stayed loyal to his feelings. He was definitely mature for his age. I think the reason Seonwoo didn't choose him was mainly due to age reasons. As for Seonwoo ahh what can I say he was frustrating at time sure but honestly I understand him (coz I see me in him). He was very mature and his personality is of someone who is kind to everyone I'm the same but it backfires sometimes. That's what became his disadvantage. People shit on him but honestly he saw how serious Junseong wad for seongho and realized that his feelings for seongho is not as strong and was willing to backdown and he was not willing to give seongho anything less. (Seonwoo was too mature and kind for his own good). As for our favourite couple JSH. Tbh i saw a lot of clips of them on YouTube before watching the show and I didn't understand the hype but after watching the show they definitely have a certain charm to them. At first sight Junseong seems a bit cold and unapproachable but when he is with Seongho he becomes this cute, shy, vulnerable puppy which I absolutely love. I think the reason Seongho at first was into Seonwoo was that he was his ideal type and also kind but Junseong's persistence definitely moved his heart. While during the show I didn't feel like Seongo's feelings were as strong as Junseong but after watches their videos post show Seongho has definitely fallen deeper in love. Junseong is very attentive and displays his love openly something Seongho appreciates a lot. As for the other members. Didn't like how Minseong handled the situation and Hyungjin how immediately he changed his choice and went after Minseong. I mean honestly I didn't even see any chemistry between them. Felt bad for Hyungjun coz he is a simple minded person but from what I know he is already dating so I'm happy for him atleast. I think the only single people remaining are Seonwoo and Dabit. Not sure about yoonghee as he doesn't update much
Just completed. I won't write a review but I watched season 2 before this and definitely it was better. But as this was season 1 so it wasn't that bad tbh..... I watched it due to ChanGyu he was and is my favourite all along. But I didn't expect to love watching the Laughing Sisters lol. They were whole entertainment and such a mood. Unfortunately Changyu is a very shy and introverted person hence it was difficult for him to show his strengths due to which he got ignored. Which is a shame... I think when Jeongho came that's when Changyu became more open. If only he had joined earlier. I ended up appreciating Seonyul and Jeongho as they were always honest and straightforward and both comforted and helped Changyu a lot. Other than that I loved Eunchan. It's a shame he was a great guy and very mature so was Changyu. Ooofff atleast from what I remember both Eunchan and Changyu are in a happy relationship as of now
I think maybe the issue is that you’re focusing too much on what position the character Great takes in the bedroom…
Hey... Thanks for reply. Yes I understand what you are saying. And I am glad but if you read my original comment it's regarding the permanent pairing. My concern was that Jes and Bible will be permanent pairing and while I don't mind that (they look good together and both are hot) my concern is if they become permanent pairing Bible will always be stuck playing a bottom role with him... Ofcourse if they do switch around from time to time I won't mind as they are both good together but Versatile couples in BL are literally almost non-existent and if past permanent BL couples are any indication it might happen with them as well. Now you might question what is wrong with playing a bottom character. To that I'll just say even if nothing is wrong with it it definitely creates a mold for the actor and limits tho we might not be able to spot it at a get go it is subconscious. And I personally advocate for any BL couples to switch around. It just helps show their acting range more ( while u might think a persons role has nothing to with acting to some degree it is as per me) Of course I'm aware that my take might come of as very bad and biased and for that I'm sorry but this thing has bothered me for so long for many of my favorite BL actors and I just wanted to voice my opinion and perspective
I think maybe the issue is that you’re focusing too much on what position the character Great takes in the bedroom…
Thanks for ur thoughts... I know my take is really bad not even gonna deny that... I am happy to see Bible acting again as it is and while yes my focus on the sexual aspect of the series might be a bit too much but after watching soo many BL couples and series I can't help it but feel this way. And this issue I have is not just with Bible btw it's for any permanent couples. I just feel they should be allowed to explore both sides and not be stuck in the same roles. I'm not sure if you know Khaotung. I liked his role in both Tonhon Chonlatee as well as The Eclipse. Both roles were exact opposite of each other in every way and I loved that coz he nailed both of them. And I want the same for Bible as well as any other BL actors out there. I know BOC is one of the better production companies out there and they definitely do things different there but who knows... I'll still watch and enjoy it. The rest only future will tell. Sorry if I sound too stuck up
At first, when I was reading your message I was like "WTF is he writing about?" but then I understood.I don't…
Thanks for understanding I know it's a hot take and I'm not even gonna deny it's a bit biased but it's not like I won't watch it. I know I'll still enjoy seeing Bible acting again. Who knows perhaps my mind will change in future
Fuck it... I'm just gonna say something which is bothering me and it does not make any sense trust me I'm aware of it and I'm probably gonna come of as shallow but fuck I need to say it. I honestly personally don't like the idea of Bible being a bottom. Let me explain. Here's the thing I love Bible as an actor I feel he has lots of potential. However, I kinda hope that this pairing is not permanent and they will like will play around and change partners. Well there is nothing wrong with permanent pairings of course but I feel like it kinda limits the person/actor into a mold. I have no problem with Jess. He seems like an excellent actor. But I feel like if they become a permanent pairing then (if all the BLs I have watched in the past are any indication) he will be stuck playing the role of a bottom every time. Now this is not always true but tbh it is. And of course there is nothing wrong with playing a bottom (I'm gay myself and a bottom) but after seeing Bible play as Vegas I just feel like he can play both roles pretty confidently and I don't want to see him be stuck on one which I'm afraid it will. That's it. I know it does not make sense and neither do I wish to see Bible with Build either. But I'm just afraid that Bible will be type casted into playing bottom every time if the pair becomes permanent and I just don't like that coz I feel he can play both if anything.
I'll put this comment just so people who are hesitant to watch to it due to bad rating and negative comments can give it a try. First of all it wasn't as bad as the comments suggest. Was it great ? No. But it wasn't bad either. Sure it isn't as good as the storyline of other History series but that does not make it automatically bad. Still tho as I said there are definitely flaws in this series for example I didn't like the way they handled emotional scenes they went by quickly and I didn't get enough time to grieve on it. Another thing is how they handled Johnny going back to his timeline. I mean sure the grandma died but if he was teleported back to his time wouldn't he just go back to the moment he disappeared? And that way the grandma would still be living and even would have lived longer as she died due to missing her grandson. Also I would have been way angrier if I had found out Ha Yi hid the fact of the grandmas death but just like other emotional scenes it was handled too poorly. Don't mind the cameo couple honestly unlike other people I mean i understand the aversion of some people to it but honestly it just does not bother me. Anyway give it a try. It is a good 1 time watch.
Lol in the manhwa Kosol is the lead. However I was always rooting for Jet tbh.
Well for starters Kosol seems very abusive I mean he does get better later but however Jet seems to be always supportive and even takes a beating for him and he is just soo pure and dedicated and I just love that for him. Though in manhwa it was never stated he has feelings for him but still
PLEASE SOMEONE SPOIL ME THE NOVEL.I just ended in 2 days this uncut version of this series and I don't get the…
Hey so I have not read the novel but from what I got from looking at comments and other sources after Jom disappears from 1920s he is transported back to 1600s where he meets commander Yai the one with moustache. There the fall in love and the Yai in that era gives him the ring and promises Jom to only ever love him in all his life hence the instant attraction that Khun Yai felt for Jom. After that he is transported back to 2023 and all happens the same as in ep 12 he meets reincarnation of Yai in 2023. As per what i got the current Yai of 2023 is actually great grandson of Khun Lek Yai's younger brother that kid. For most of his life he does not remember his past life but is suddenly able to recall all his past reincarnation (idk the reason i forgot and also not clear) and meets Jom and lives happily ever after get married as well. Unfortunately both the 1920s and 1600s Yai don't marry anyone after Jom leaves and die alone only the reincarnation in current era who remembers everything from past life gets to be with Jom hence Jom says that Yai has waited for him longer. About the special episode we get it is actually not in the novel. In the novels special chapter it only mentions one time where 1920s Yai is transported to 2023 and sees Jom from far away and call him but not able to meet him and then he immediately transports back to his own era. So the special episode is completely out of the novel
