Honestly you'll find the dynamic you’re looking for in more western shows. On Netflix there's Baby, Geek Girl, XO Kitty, Gossip Girl / Gossip Girl reboot (this one is on HBO Max I think), Blood & water, Sex Education, Fate: Winx Saga, One of Us Is Lying, Rebelde. There's also Mixte 1963 and SKAM (Norway is the OG but you have diff ones like: Italy, France, España, Belgium, Germany etc.)
A new fave for me was Maxton Hall (Prime Video) There are also turkish dramas too, you can check out Love 101 or Duy Beni. Hope this helps, if not idk what else there is 😭

Love this drama so far. The little boy who plays Jiho his acting is amazing. His scenes made me want to cry a few times

I honestly think I was expecting a deeper storyline bc they started the drama off with suicide. Seems like they had no real idea of how to develop the plot and just kept getting sidetracked and wrote that the same chain of events kept repeating over and over again. I felt like we were going in circles and I was exhausted. I agree with you though, I could never rewatch this drama... I have to laugh sometimes bc this is one of my bsfs faves and I'm like HOW?!!! 😭 but anyways I think if she were to rewatch in the future would not like the drama either. The edits were pretty good but honestly I always think edits are 80% song choice so if it's a good song and the lyrics match the scenes or the transitions are seamless then it's amazing to me 🤷‍♀️

Lmao same sentiments but I did enjoy it a lot in the beginning and gave it the benefit of the doubt by pushing through and finishing it. It was a let down but eh... supernatural dramas are hard for koreans to get right 😭 My expectations are not very high when it comes to these genre of dramas. Best so far imo has been Alchemy of Souls. But so far The Devil Judge seems promising

I agree. I thought Song Kang & Yoo Jung did a good job in MD, they had good banter and kept each other on their toes. It was after they fell in love things started to get draggy 😭

The whole plot of a demon coming to earth to seek justice & eerie vibe in the beginning of the 1st episode. The only difference is this focuses on FL as a demon whereas in MD ML was the demon. They both have the quick witted, snarkiness and edge to their character with the way they interact with people and try to get their jobs done. Ntm the ML will also fall in love with a demon, just like FL did in MD. If you also didn’t know the cinematographer who worked on My Demon also did work and special effects for this drama and I could see that visually. I personally enjoyed the 1st half of MD so idk why ppl are butt hurt or insinuating you’re calling this show “shit” if you compare it to MD. It's also just my opinion and initial observations, we don’t have to agree.

A lot of dramas have been using recycled plot lines literally they’re not bringing anything new to the table, that’s all I was saying! You obviously have a problem with my opinion that’s on you wtf. If you already have a problem with the drama or its tropes before it airs maybe don’t watch? 🗿I also wasn’t talking about lovers being reunited lmao a lot of dramas can use that trope but is it DONE WELL???! NO IDTS and definitely not in kdramas of late.

I’m literally talking about the fact that the plot is about a Japanese man and Korean woman falling in love then breaking up then rekindling their relationship 7 years later and how they navigate this second chance + the obvious challenges that will arise whether through language barriers or cultural differences. I’m rather intrigued by this drama and how they’ll delve into the complexity of their relationship. THATS LITERALLY IT! Also I don’t see why I have to explain myself to someone like you who’s looking to name call and start a war over a fucking drama (that hasn’t even aired btw!) or my INITIAL OPINION (from just seeing a 53 sec trailer) If you had simply asked we could’ve had a rational conversation but ppl like you just love beefing over the least. Have sm fun with that!
