The ending is pretty open ended nuanced but I took it as them closing the chapter on their relationship and focusing on their individual careers. I get where you’re coming from nonetheless. I think the writing and plot could’ve been better. They left a lot of loose ends to be tied up and I felt like they did not delve into the character’s arcs and backstories enough, they just gave us a little sneak peak and moved on / mulled over it quickly. But yeah… this was definitely not a masterpiece to me. I appreciate the realness / messiness and ups and downs of the relationship. But beyond that it’s not worth rewatching or mentioning. I prefer the interest of love to this, that to me handles depression and what it feels like to be lonely / outcast so much better. It’s a better and more realistic slice of life imo. You mentioned Normal People… that’s my “normal people” in kdrama world 😂 But I will say it’s not for everyone just like this drama isn’t for everyone.

You’re entitled to your opinion. I however saw the ending as a break up. It’s a theory they are still together but for me that’s speculation and I am doubtful. Again like my disclaimer said we don’t have to agree, this is just my perspective. This drama was not memorable to me in the slightest and I have moved on a long time ago.

Wow you put all the extra feelings I had into words. All I can say is same! I used to feel like this everyday until I eventually got over the mess S2 was. S1 really is the only one that exists to me 😭 You're truly not missing anything without watching S2 imo.
