Make no mistake, it's mostly a tragic story, with almost no romance.
The story is about the horrors of war and survival.. that was obvious from episode 1. If you only see romance when the leads are getting physical then you obviously don't get it. This drama is for slow burn and acts of service lovers!
Is this sad and heartbreaking or is this uplifting? I don't know if I have the stomach for something sad or heartbreaking…
It is both sad and heartbreaking... also there might be a lot of triggering topics for people as this story is mainly about war and survival. Watch it at your own risk. If you like dramas that don't have a plot and are more focused on silly romance with one dimensional characters then this drama is definitely not for you. This drama is not for the faint hearted at all.

Gonna say Eun Gyeol cuz he’s learning so much about his parents, seeing them in a different light and coming to understand their past selves. Plus he’s branching out and making so many new friends and memories. Compared to his life in 2023, I feel like he’s truly living his best life and learning how to be a carefree teenager. I love how big his heart is and how much you can not only see but also can feel his genuine care, love and concern for the people around him. Ahh idk they’ve all had character development in one way or another but he’s still such a gem of a person imo 😭

No you don’t… they’re in the same universe but two completely different shows, characters and plot. In my opinion strong woman do bong soon is so much better though.

Sort of like a korean "soap opera." or a "telenovela". These dramas tend to have really outrageous storylines. They usually have dramatic plot twists like revenge, birth secrets etc. You can look it up :)

The only child-like character in this drama is Nam Soon... be fr 💀 She has the mind and mannerisms of a 5 year old even though she's supposedly 22. Just bc people like the villain, find him hot and ship him with Nam Soon does not make them immature. There's something called having different tastes or preferences 🙄 Idk how you can sit here and seriously say you find the cop mature or that he gives off "man vibes" when he's cross dressing as a woman 25/8 and running around like a damn fool with Nam Soon all the time 💀 MAKE IT MAKE SENSE.

However when he's around Nam Soon it's evident some of his walls come down and he warms to her.
