oops...I was low-grade shipping Taishin and the businessman from the bus. lolWow, Iwase Yoji is an incredibly…
agreed with your opinion about Thai BL and I feel the same... shows from Japan at least feel fresh and a bit refreshing.. probably because the shows aren't oversaturated in the market.. but don't tell thai bl fans that.. according to them Thai BL is still peaking lol
is anyone gonna call out that Phuwin never actually kisses POND ? his lips are never moving.. for an established couple to be doing this in 2024 is a bit ridiculous
I'm honestly sad about Gun.. I feel like he is one of the best actors of this generation and sadly his talents are being wasted at GMMTV...his last couple of projects have been so pedestrian and not mature for his age.. I wish they gave him more to work with.. It feels like since NOT Me, GMMTV have just dropped the ball on him.
The Eighth Sense did feel very western and some of it does play on Korean culture but the mental health aspects…
I agree and the fans are indeed to blame.. if they don't call out the mediocrity and just latch onto any content because their favs are in it... why should GMMTV care to improve ? I don't blame GMMTV... the formula is working so why change it.
The Eighth Sense did feel very western and some of it does play on Korean culture but the mental health aspects…
I completely agree with your point and I've come to accept that my taste always goes back to western and european style of shows as I feel like I connect to them the most... honestly Thai BLs have not hit for me that much lately as I do feel some of the stories feel too unrealistic... Korea and Japan in the past two years to me I think the way they act is more subtle to me compared to Thai so I relate to their shows more as I'm coming from the western world. I think at some point we have to realize Thai shows are meant mainly for Thai audience and Asian audiences.. its hard at times as a westerner to relate to it sometimes. BL is still a very niche audience that's largely popular in Asia and honestly I think it will continue being niche unless someone breaks the mold and does something revolutionary that thats the world by storm
I just don't understand how on earth this can still have this high rating. There are series that I don't like…
GMMTV shows notoriously have very high ratings even though the majority of comment sections are negative.. they have a mass amount of fans that just give 10's no matter what.. they are notorious for it.
I don't think anyone should ever touch or attempt to remake what Michieda did as Aoki in Kieta Hatuskoi as his performance was such a gale force of energy and likability and it seemed so natural.
to me its so obvious GMMTV are now running out of stories and the writers are lazy. they are now going the route of just using stories already told but it's just not connecting as the original stories are from countries where the vibe and tone are so different. that's like fourthgemini trying to do the eight sense... or semantic error.. the tones of those shows are just so different.. it can't translate to thai culture.
Cherry magic was a masterpiece compared to this. I actually liked it a lot. This is horrible.
well compared to this.. everything is a masterpiece.. so you are right.. to me its so obvious GMMTV are now running out of stories and are going the route of just using stories already told but it's not effective anymore.
far too much product placement.. I feel like it's so hard to replicate a Japanese BL because of its tone and GMMTV had that issue with Cherry Magic and it's having it again with My Love Mix Up.
