Title Silent Truth
Everyone has focused more on who killed Naoto's brother, completely forgetting that 30 million yen were stolen…
I also think that Makiko probably got SA and that’s why she refuses to say even to Juinichi

I didn’t expect this to be so good as it started off weird but damn the acting is insane. ML breakdown today had me in tears and the suspense to the truth is top notch. Not a lot of jdrama is able to do this

I get that the drama is trying to convey how cultural difference in love can cause drama. But the way FL is behaving is giving major insecurity, jealousy and self-centredness. I don’t think this is how Korean woman in love right? It’s giving them a really bad name.

Ryoma really nailed his role here😭 I am in tears when he confessed in the latest ep.. I can totally feel his trauma 🥺🥺

Taiga has his flaws but I hate how FL expects ML to know whatever she wants him to say. I still think FL is way more red flag than him 🤦‍♂️

My only complaint is that I expected the Lee Dong Su story to have more to it, we don't even really get an explanation…
I think for Dong Su, it’s simply just the owner feeling obliged to correct him because he was a recipient for the foundation and nothing more. But yea I wish there were more to it

Pretty sure the script of this show was partly inspired Japanese drama. There are many Jdrama that revolves around food and life, showing many eating scenes. And that’s why not many are used to this. But the show failed to capture the emotional depth as seen from the Japanese counterparts as there were way too many main and side characters and also ambitious because it tries to show too many law cases. And it hinders a realistic character development - especially for Juhyeong. Him attributing his recent change to love (in episode 11) is the most unrealistic line I’ve heard since there isn’t much that was shown in the transition phase. It’s literally a 365 change of personality. Tbh it’s really disappointing coming from high expectations.

Tbh I am kinda disappointed in this because this is LJS anticipated return to the screen and he usually picks great scripts. But what we have is screen time shared with five characters (they could have afford to cut one of the main leads). The premise on Ju Hyeong seems promising but it was affected by bad writing. It just felt so abrupt for him to turn overnight from someone jaded and idgaf to caring and gaf about ethics again in the latest episode due to him finding light with his new idealistic girlfriend (I find her character annoying and unrealistic because she always get her way in the cases. Him finding that light is kinda cliche too). The love line tbh also felt unnecessary. Out of the characters, I think Chang Won was the best written because you can totally see how the reality of being attorney hits him. I hope there’s more focus in Ju Hyeong in the last two episodes and hopefully more struggles and realistic development

This drama is honestly an escapism for me 😭 absolutely love the two mum’s rooftop scene. Everything is so warm!!

That letter from Mizuki was truly scheming on her part. I think she wrote it with total intention to break up…
Her writing to Yayoi is also her way to show that she is not dictating or imposing her kid to some random woman and also to make herself feel better that way. The only props I can give her character is that she truly loves umi.

That letter from Mizuki was truly scheming on her part. I think she wrote it with total intention to break up…
I have a differing opinion on this. I wouldn’t think she is that scheming to break them off. Because in her letter to Yayoi, she told her to follow her heart which could have gone both ways: either Yayoi leaves like now or stay and I don’t think Mizuki can predict that. But I do think her actions screams narcissist and selfish. From her interactions with her mum, can tell that she always think her views are right and love to impose her views on other, which is what happens to the letters she wrote. As for the final letter, I see it as more like because she knew her days are numbered and because she loves Umi so much, her selfishness tells her to let Umi return to Natsu so that umi at least have a father. But Mizuki cannot just force her child to the father when literally Mizuki didn’t let Natsu into their lives so she came up with this final letter and mask it with nice words and gaslit everyone that she has Natsu at heart entirely but it doesn’t make sense because she only likes Natsu, and it may wane over the years too. Umi is the most important person to her, so her actions is really all about Umi. If Mizuki didn’t had cancer, she wouldn’t have let Umi return to Natsu since she already tried and saw Natsu is happily with Yayoi and had their whole lives.

Good performance hindered by poor storytelling… In my opinion, Mizuki final letter to Natsu makes it worst… like you want Natsu to prioritize himself but also take care of himself… like you know that’s really not very possible since you know what parenting is like. Plus, you say you are an advocate for people to have choice but you are forcing decisions on Natsu (not telling him at first about his child and now kinda moral blackmailing him to take care of his child). And I read some commenters saying Mizuki don’t want to burden Natsu in the beginning for taking care of his child then why is she doing now when she died??? I am sorry the drama is trying to portray Mizuki some kind of saint because well she died and someone who is pro choice but her actions just made her hypocritical and contradictory. Yayoi and Natsu breakup doesn’t deserve…

I love this drama so much even though it has its flaws of being somewhat cliche and draggy at times. But the chemistry between two leads are top notch. Also there are four more episodes but we are already in the fluff happy romance scene which is really suspicious… I hope nothing bad happen though 🥺

I read all the comments and am now scared to watch episode 11. Shall I continue watching?
Ep 11 is bs, it’s supposed to make you cry but it’s the first time I dissociate from the plot and didn’t because of how ridiculous the story and treatment is to Natsu

After watching ep 11, my interest for this show has completely waned… like first of all, I feel Natsu is totally scammed into this. He has no idea his kid is still alive. And then, when Mizuki died, everyone is poking him to take responsibility. And when finally he take it, and with the agreement of all including umi. They are unhappy?? Like hello umi, you were the one who is agreeable to staying with Natsu (he even gave you the option to stay with him or at her grandparents) and now you are unhappy and say these hurtful things??? If you are annoyed why Natsu never stayed with you and Mizuki and only appearing now, why are you angry now? You shld have complained before you led your poor father into this scam. Fr this is totally bs man, and I was liking this in the first half and thought it’s better than silent. It’s totally not.

I think Madman Subs will be subbing this one
What might be easy to access for you, might be hard for others like me as I am writing from my experience of accessing the subs. The thing that I find it hard to access is when they required two active social media account of mine to enter the discord server. I am a working adult, and I am not always on my phone to post everyday and not everyone has the luxury of time to do too. I was denied entry first time because my social media account is not deemed active as I only posted stuff once in a few weeks. It was only when I had to take the time to write reviews on letterboxd and mydramalist (thankfully I have shows that I haven't write) everyday for 3 weeks before I managed to get the access. Not picking a fight here, but trying to explain why I felt its hard to access the subs. But of course, I understand these subbers are also doing these voluntarily and I am grateful for their efforts and time in subbing.

Mizuki must be the most selfish character I’ve seen in a while, but I still don’t hate her. because she was…
I wouldn’t necessarily hate Mizuki, i kinda understand where she is coming from but she is a flawed character which I guess works well with the realism in this drama. I more annoyed with how the drama makes its seems like everyone is group bullying Natsu with emotional blackmail and because of his passiveness he just don’t bite back. And at least Yayoi apologized for hurting and helped him, which is redemption. To me mizuki and natsu relationship is puppy love while I feel more chemistry between yayoi and natsu.
