Yeah he had a promising story about being one of Black's friends who also secretly liked him like in the novel, but instead they turned him into one of those typical second male lead character that falls for his friend's girlfriend and it didn't flow with the rest of the story. Idk why they changed this part of the story but it is what it is. It was still a good drama xD

Agreed! Before I discovered BL dramas, I used to gobble up gender bend dramas and always felt like it was my substitute for a real BL drama, but ever since I discovered BL dramas and have been watching them for a long time now, I can't ever see myself going back to watching gender bend dramas because it doesn't feel the same. Plus, why watch a girl dress up and try to pass as a guy when I can have the real thing? ;)

My favorite drama trope used to be gender bend, but after watching actual bl dramas, I can't see myself going back to seeing a 'fake bl' drama again. xD Because I would rather see the guy actually question his sexuality and end up falling for said guy than see a guy question his sexuality, but then finds out the 'guy' is a girl so he's relieved that he's still straight. xD

I agree. I've been binge watching a handful of bl dramas recently and I honestly can't see myself going back to watching gender bend dramas because I much prefer seeing an actual bl drama. xD

I only watch BL lakorns, but I've most definitely seen numbers 1-3 in most bl lakorns I've seen so far. You're right on the money about the females in the dramas. I seriously can't stand them and I honestly thought the females in Korean and Taiwanese dramas were the ones I can't stand. xD When I was watching the season second of Lovesick, I was so grateful that the uploader edited out all the unnecessary girl parts and kept in the boy parts because I seriously don't know how I would've made it through the 30+ episode second season seeing those annoying girls.

Oh man. Don't even get me started on the fake kisses. They make me feel so frustrated and sad when I see a cute moment between two guys and I can't even see their lips touch or their kisses would look so stiff that it makes me roll my eyes. The only bl lakorn I've seen so far that has an amazing kiss (and sex scenes ;3) is Together With Me.

The whole rape thing...I can't even wrap my mind around it. Out of the handful of bl lakorn's I've seen, I've come across at least two that was attempted rape and two Chinese bl's that was also attempted rape. When I first saw these, I was like seriously? This would never fly in straight dramas so I really do wonder why they enjoy throwing that part in a lakorn and then have the victim act like it's alright in the end. >< Like I was seriously questioning if this is a typical bl thing, but if this happens in straight lakorns too then damn.

I haven't really came across a bl lakorn that's been over 2 hours. Most of the ones I've seen have been an hour or under an hour, but I most definitely would get turned off if I saw that a single episode was over 2 hours. Like damn! I'm not trying to watch a movie! I'm here to watch a drama, yo! xD

Besides all the annoyance, I still enjoy bl lakorns and I'll still watch them because bl is life~ <3

You should definitely watch Romantic Doctor Teacher Kim. The plot is unique and the characters and everything sucked me right in. There was pretty much non-stop action in each episode. I've enjoyed watching each episode until it was finished. :3

I'm one of the people in the minority that couldn't see chemistry between their two characters in Weightlifting Fairy. xD But I still congratulate their relationship.

I wish more people would try to give J-dramas a try and if they try it and don't like it then that's their choice, but to completely just cross it off the list is what I don't like. >< I enjoy watching J-dramas because I feel like they're more.....realistic? xD Like, I've noticed that nothing seems fake about it (to me). The actors don't look like they're caked with make up and the video quality seems more real and fresh to me which is what I like. Another big reason why I've got into J-dramas is because of anime. I used to watch anime all the time and I still enjoy it so when I watch a J-drama, it's like I'm watching a live action anime which makes me like the J-drama even more. xD Anyhoo, I wish there were more J-drama series produced because I need my fix. xD The main drama websites I watch dramas on is Dramafever and Viki and they both have a very small collection of J-dramas which makes me sad. >< Sometimes I watch dramas on Crunchyroll, but they also have a pretty small collection too I think. Also, I really like the short duration of J-dramas because with certain K-dramas, they sometimes drag the storyline waaaay too long and then if that drama is really popular in Korea, they extend the drama by two episodes which drags it even more so the ten episode mark for most J-dramas is definitely what I like. But yeah! I pretty much watch K-dramas, T-dramas and J-dramas and I love them all because they're all pretty different. K-dramas: Innocent. T-dramas: Full of comedy and they're not afraid to say the word gay or talk about someone being gay. J-dramas: The actors/actresses look more real and the quality overall seems realistic and fresh. So those are my reasons for liking J-dramas and why I love K-dramas, T-dramas and J-dramas. xD
