I'd always joked that MS-i doesn't have the cursed episode because every episode is cursed. But dang, the eleventh still hit differently. It was a rollercoaster of emotions just like the previous ones but so much heavier and intense. I didn't read this part of the book because I wanted to see how Ming will handle it all. But I've read from a comment here that today's episode wasn't in the book and are changes made by the production. Honestly, ever since I've seen the first four episodes, I have been in awe at how much the production made sure to make this as close to the source material as possible. They did such a great job at this. I can't say that enough. Now that we're officially nearing this series' finale, can we please *please* get at least 75% of fluff and romance? No rollercoaster of emotions. just plain happiness up until the very end. Leave the angst to the first 25% (or lower) of the finale.
Also, Joeeeee! Bebu, I know you're kind. I know that. I really *really* do. But can we lessen that for a bit? Like maybe *none* at all?! You're kindness will be your undoing.
I liked the painting on the right side of Q's painting more. π
Right?! I agree he is supposed to like anything with waters (sea especially) but it actually felt plain compared to the others. I loved the contrast with the flowers though. It was supposed to describe his happiness but on my side, it felt more like his feelings towards Phum was blossoming. Anyway, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so. I'm the kind of person to notice something but not be the first one to point it out. (Just avoiding confrontation π)
I'm not sure why we get so little of ChainPun. Is that how their story was supposed to be in the book? Or is it because of the change of partners that they had so little time to reshoot their scenes? The latter seemed more plausible but it's still a shame. Chain and Pun could stare at each other and sparks still fly. Poon is such a cutie though. I want the story of the naive law student and his playboy dentist boyfriend.
Omg, Mut. I feel so bad for you. Look at him smiling through the pain. He's speaking in a language Rak understands but I still feel bad about him. I mean, look at his eyes. That scene outside Rak's bedroom was beautifully acted by Fort.
Now that we can see how much Mut is trying and how much he's willing to set his pride aside for love, I wonder what circumstances will make him leave. Like, I'm already looking forward to it. A guy who can shamelessly say he has been bought, that although he's not a boy toy, he definitely is a sugar baby, I wonder what will break you. π I want the angst now. π
Oh my God! The part where Mut asked Rak to stay was so well delivered by Fort. Omg, the guy who said he has a hard time crying continuously amazes me since LITA days. Fort can cry and not just cry *cry*, he can pull you in. I remember seeing Pai cry and I cried with him. Mut's proposal (it was and it felt like it) was emotional. These two aren't pregnant but they deliver. π
Has anyone here read the book? Let me preface this by saying that I am by no means complaining but I know it's going to sound like one.
The part where they finally found Joe's bones and the confrontation in his house were two of my favorites from the book. To be very honest, this episode fell short of my expectations. I have always said I can't wait to have this scene. It was so much better in my head. I cried so hard during those scenes. The way Ming was motionless throughout all that and that confrontation in Joe's house where everything was revealed. The emotions were so raw and I bawled, y'all. That part hurt so much I was looking forward to how they'll portray it on the screen. Call it sadistic but it's rare for me to get really good adaptations.
But you know what, this is just what happens when you have high expectations for the production. They have been doing such an amazing job with the adaptation. We can't have it all.
Someone. Please someone make an edit of that funeral wake scene where Ming was just looking at Joe's picture motionless. Even though there was a background music and Ming wasn't saying anything, a song played into my head for no reason. "Can you hear me screaming? Please don't leave me.Hold on, I still want youCome back, I still need you.Let me take your hand, I'll make it rightI swear to love you all my lifeHold on, I still need you." Dang it, *Hold On* song felt so befitting of that scene. I can't sit still. π That song is just calm and painful. It's not really calm calm, more like somber if you get what I mean.
+ I have to add that I had to stop watching the episode just to say this. How do I make this happen? π
But the parents are here. So you know the angst is coming. Dang it, I can feel it lurking in the shadows. We need…
Yeah, I feel so. It's about time for the slave contract thing to be addressed. I was wondering when the rest of the gang will find out. It looks like it's going to be a bit chaotic too. I mean, we are talking about Chain, Pun, and Tan after all. Those three idiots sharing one brain cells. π
Leaving this here because I know I'm not the only one. Who are lovers? TanFang & QToey: We Are Who are flirting with each other? PhumPeem: We Are Who will get together at episode 16 4/4? ChainPun: We Are πππ But really, who are just so happy with this series? Us: We Are
once this is finished being aired, i'm gonna re-watch it just to count how many times pond & phuwin kissed (sniff-kisses…
Commenting here so I can be updated. π No but really, ever since episode 11, I have started to rewatch the series. I don't do that to shows I'm currently watching especially if it's ongoing. But the things We Are made me do.
I've noticed this while watching LS, doesn't he resemble Yoo Seung Ho a bit? It gets even clearer when he smiles/ laughs. I think it's the smile actually and the way their teeth shows when they do. π Not trying to be creepy but can someone see it to or is it only me?
In my head, I just translated it as: I wonder what that man tastes like. It's tamer than what was intended, actually.…
There was a part in this comment section where someone pointed out that that line meant Rak was talking about Mut's member. They replied that they didn't even notice that and made a remark about their thoughts becoming "cleaner" ever since they've started watching Y series. And I couldn't agree more, all those years of reading smut but I'm tamer now. I don't know who to thank. π
In the opening of chapter 2 Peatβs voiceover says as translated: "I wonder what that manβs sex taste like."…
In my head, I just translated it as: I wonder what that man tastes like. It's tamer than what was intended, actually. But as someone who reads from different languages a lot and watches series that are badly subbed, my brain just goes on an automatic auto-correction. That being said, I'm very grateful towards people who exerts efforts and takes from their precious time to sub and translate for all of us, peasants of the internet who has nothing better to do. π
Also, Joeeeee! Bebu, I know you're kind. I know that. I really *really* do. But can we lessen that for a bit? Like maybe *none* at all?! You're kindness will be your undoing.
