The first and second half almost feel like different dramas. This is the third time that happened to me when watching a MBC drama. The personality of the FL almost disappeared.

What happened?

So it's pretty much confirmed she suffers from sleep paralysis, right?

Yeah, I'm not buying the "we were friends for 9 years but kept missing each other". This drama tries to be way too realistic for someone to date another person for 9 years and they actually loved his best friend. I would understand this crush they had for each other if the drama had make them go through stuff while they were reconnecting, but I didn't think that would happen as fast as episode 2.

The majority of the very few smiles she gave so far scane from stuff he said!!!!! At first I thought she was going to be so mean to him (like when he criticizes her sister) but no, she actually respects him.

I think it was just the PD choice so people would actually watch the finale.

I hope Eun Joo can get more screentime with that kid, so she can learn more about adoptive love and comes to understand her father a little better.

Yeah, I can't explain.... Since there are a lot of twists... who knows..

I just want my Chan Hyuk and Kim Eun Joo ship to sail but that ain't happening :(

I watched the first two episodes and I loved it. The characters look real so you don't need to be supportive or anything, you just enjoy your time.

Why am I so attracted to Kim Eun Joo's personality? She's cold but fair at the same time.

First episode was amazing. It looks like I'm for a crazy ride.

On my watchlist just because no one knows how to play a cold-hearted-bitch like Lee Elijah.

How come it's underrated? I've seen it everywhere and the rating looks good. You know you won't see good dramas on kpop sites on trending on twitter unless there's an idol in it, right?

I just skip it, really. It's almost like they're in a different drama.

I don't hate the fact that the exes are part of the story since they're also part of the OTP trauma, what I hate about this is that we have very little development for the main couple because of their exes. The natural fights and disagreements didn't even happen because that creepy guy won't leave Do Hee alone. That's lazy writing. The SAME thing happened with One Spring Night and it destroyed the potential that drama had.

The drama is called "Dinner Mate" but it's actually "we had dinner three times and now a weirdo won't leave us alone".

As others have mentioned, it's almost like they're not part of the same drama at all. Having watched Be Melodramatic, I can totally see the producers saying to the writer "there's not enough fist grabbing going on here".

For a drama that was supposed to be about the OTP having dinner there's way too much drama going on with their exes. Even though I love the main couple chemistry, I wish they would focus on the dinner part a little more.

Did they just advertise the drama INSIDE the drama? That's a new low, South Korea. Loving every second of it though.
