The writer clearly didn't work hard enough. I love slow-paced dramas but this one is just filled with filler.
Of course we're supposed to care for it when her "character" is what bound the main leads together. If your point was correct, we wouldn't had to see her story for 2 fucking hours before the drama could actually start. If the AI's background wasn't important to the story, we would've seen it in a flashback, not in 2 episodes that basically exist see we can know her story.

They used the first two episodes to make us care for the childhood friend so when she died and became just the AI thing we would care for her. The movie HER made us care for the AI within 20 minutes. The writer clearly isn't at the top of his/her game here.
I feel like I am in the minority in that I don't love this drama. I'm on episode 4 of hospital playlist and I…
It looks like you want another season of Reply. If that's the case I doubt that you like this even if you watch until the last episode. I'm loving the focus on side characters.
I have similar feelings. i mean i thought I will enjoy watching it but am on ep 2 and am bored to death. Fact…
Same writer from the popular Reply Series. The first episodes are there to introduce all the characters. This is isn't your typical drama where the side characters are just there to fill in the time.
