I have long accepted the ending for the casts of this trilogy but it's understandable to the likes of you who accidentally got spoiled to have this kind of reaction. LIP is the prequel of the trilogy. It should have come out first but the production team had other plans.

yes FL died here and not only her tho I don't want to say too much info but the death toll in this part of the trilogy is crazy.

yes, the other one (Du Lin) who directed RMP as they have 2 directors is directing LIP and SAB.
For LIP, it's Miao Wen Jing and Ding Ya
For SAB, it's Miao Wen Jing

Atleast that's the credited screenwriters for the other 2 in douban and baidu. I haven't really had time to double check for other sources.

It really ain't looking good but let's hope the other two persevere because a director is not the only factor for success of a drama.
