They (DQL and DHZ) did get attacked by HMH (Baimu Yao Jun) and kidnapped Shen Yue (Dongfang Qin Lan). And because of that it opened the way for the first meeting of Liu Shi Shi (Dongfang Huai Zhu) and Zhang Yun Long (Wangquan Hong Ye) 😂.
I don't know much about the leads of part 2 actually but I'm sure of what's the ending of both of them. The one I think that will really harm the ML gravely is Jin Ren Feng.

I could be wrong but I could only think of the one harming the ML in part 2 is Jin Ren Feng.
For part 3, Du Niang Zi (CYQ's character in part 2) swore revenge to the Wangquan clan for what they did to Baimu Yao Jun (HMH's character in part 2) and planted Qing Tong (LYT) in the Wangquans as a spy to gather intel about the Yiqidao League. (It is translated as Unity League in the official synopsis of iQIYI international.)
She (Du Niang Zi) chased down Wangquan Fugui (CY) and was about to kill him but he removed the curse and freed Baimu using his sword. It turns out Baimu Yao Jun was sealed and transformed into a spider caged into her (Du Niang Zi's) hair ornament after all this time. This is what happened in the donghua, it can be possibly changed by the screenwriters for drama version.

For HMH's part, 5-15 minutes screentime is generous. The screentime might be short but his and Chen Yu Qi's character has crucial role to set the pace for Sword and Beloved esp for the FL (Li Yi Tong's character).
Please Love in Pavilion scriptwriters don't let us down 🤦. I read that because they did not use the new technology that Red-Moon Pact utilized, Love in Pavilion has more fighting scenes (wire work).

Maybe it's because the expectations were sky high and when the final product was watched, it's not delivering well. I put the drama on hold for now, waiting for the drama to really kick off because usually for dramas like this they will need more eps. I will continue to look forward to comments if it does get better and I hope it does.
The villain black fox is one dimensional, we will need some in depth background on why she even does that aside from "because I want to conquer all the realms", or "I want to be the strongest one" type of reason like come on, please don't be a shallow type of villain.
The villain in FSM: Love in Pavilion is the black fox too, they mentioned it when they released the landscape poster for the prominent casts. It was also mentioned in the narration of this drama (FSM:RMP) at Ep 1. I'm kinda nervous for the second part of this trilogy and this is one of the reason.
I understand the concerns about the relationship setting of the ML and FL. To be able to enjoy the drama because we all know they will both fall in love with each other, you need to unsee it. To be honest with y'all I'm kinda "eehhh" with this kind of dynamics too 🤦ðŸ˜.
