I was so happy to see the boys rewarded with their hard work and standard of live performance, when they were graded by the Star Masters… And then the show immediately took that away and replaced it with audience views?? Make it make sense. The show hasn’t even started yet with actual voting and half the C group boys were already kicked out. So sad for the participants who genuinely deserved another stage to prove what they’re capable of - Xuan Hao, I’ll be rooting for you and your dreams. 30 is just the start!
I also felt the selection of the centre was also really rushed - they could have done more to show why these 3 participants (and especially the eventual centre) are deserving of being shortlisted above the other all-stars. Otherwise, you leave an audience divided and unconvinced, which is the exact opposite of the fan support and recognition that Han Bin & Zhang Hao received in Season 1.
Nonetheless - grateful that we managed to keep some really talented participants that didn’t get that much screen time in episode 1. In particular, Jiang Fan, Chen Bo Wen, Chen Kai Wen & Sen, but I’m sure there are many more in the wings that are waiting for their opportunity to shine. Fighting!!
