started strong but lost all its charm
I enjoyed the early episodes, but halfway through the comedy basically disappeared. I came for the humor too, so that was already disappointing. The plot turns cliche, predictable and drags a lot, to the point where it feels like you’re forcing yourself to finish it. Honestly, 10 episodes would’ve been enough to keep the pacing in check.
The whiny ex also drove me up the wall. I get that they wanted to make him look pathetic, but his scenes were just exhausting all the way until the final episode. The leads are cute together, but I didn’t feel any real butterflies. Even the second lead had potential, but they didn’t develop them at all, probably because it might overshadow the main couple.
The writing is weak and the only thing that kept me going was the fake marriage trope. I really thought this would be the kdrama that proves romcom dramas can still be fun, but I guess not this time.
