Yeah there have been actually abusive ones (Uea's mum from Bed Friend oh my GOD I hated her). At least with Day's mum I can play devil's advocate and I understand that her worry as a parent has made her WAY too overprotective. It doesn't make what she does right, but it's a very human response.

I thought it was lovely! It just depends on your opinion when you watch it. It didn't have the drama like a few eps prior, but had some moments in there that you might consider a bit surprising. You should definitely watch it and hopefully you'll enjoy 🥹

Yes that's true, but I'm talking more about in Episode 10 when his mum basically monitored him like a hawk and took away his phone + changed the wifi password. In the early eps it was more his choice. Sorry! Should have clarified that 🥹

You're welcome! I got a bit confused at the 90 days part of the plot (I remember in the original trailer it was 180 days) but yeah, I think this is where they were going. Yep, the 90 days was the amount of time the doctor estimated Day's sight would last before he was completely blind.

OMG I didn't even think about that, you're so right! 🤣 He'd absolutely know his way around the house 🤣 But it does make me feel even more sorry for Day - it feels like he's a prisoner there 😔

I don't remember there being a time limit mention on the transfer - I might have to rewatch (I mean, I do that already but I'll pay a little more attention to that fine detail, because usually I'm crying/in tears xD). What episode would you say this was mentioned? I'm under the impression all they're doing is waiting for a transplant but there has not been a time limit mentioned.

You're right, I don't think anything would have changed - but, about the mother being upset, I'll play devil's advocate. I think - and this might just be obvious or rambling so forgive me if it doesn't make sense - regarding Day's mum, it's not about what could be done if he was at home because the only thing they CAN do is wait for the transplant (this was known to us since Ep 1). From what I understand, Day's mum is upset because she's overprotective of Day - we've seen this in the series a few times now. Of course as a mum she's going to worry (even in I think ep 3 when Mhok and Day went to the market she was angry then too right?) but I would argue she was especially worried about the Songkhla trip because of how far away it is from Bangkok (13+ hour drive) AND because Night wasn't there (I'm sure she didn't know that from the beginning, but it would have been obvious when she returned home from her trip and saw Night but no Day and Mhok). Nothing about needing to stay in the area for the transplant in time was brought up, because - I think - that's still something they have to wait for. The only time limit that I would think of is how long the donor's eye can be stored for (a quick Google search says that it can be stored up to 7 days, sometimes even a little bit longer if necessary. In this case, Mhok and Day could have made it back in time from Songkhla).

Yeah, this has been said from ep 1 and referred to in other episodes (actually I remember blogging about it on Tumblr, because Day kept saying "when" he gets the cornea transplant but I kept thinking "if" he gets the transplant). I don't think it's full eye transplant, just the cornea (since Day has infectious keratitis, which is the infection of the cornea).

After refreshing the page, it looks like it stayed at the 10/10 it deserves 🥹 maybe try that if you haven't already?

Saw this comment offline and logged in just to write how much I agree with this!!! Day even said in the episode that he's the one who should be sorry to his family, so he's aware that it was his hand that caused these consequences, but he's so frustrated with himself and with the entire situation that it's just easier to push the blame onto Night. And Night also feels guilty so it's easy for him to just agree and say it was his fault too. AHHHH it's so heartbreaking for these brothers 😭 you've articulated it so well! Say it louder for the people in the back who don't understand this!!! 🙏

Plus, as a side note, I also think that people forget how young Day is and just how much he's lost. He was still starting his adult life and was a successful badminton player who played in tournaments representing his country - he can't do that anymore, and it's destroying him. Rather than accept that he is fault - even though he knows this because he already admitted it to Mhok - he takes out his frustrations on Night. It's realistic, and so, so tragic 😔
