You'll like it better after the next few episodes, I think. I got more into it after the first week. :)

Oh, I see you've watched Dating On Earth! I wasn't sure if you would so I haven't seen it yet. I'll watch it tomorrow~

I did see Sherlock, yes. There were some funny parts but overall it wasn't that well handled I think? The mystery was bad too. It just looked too much like Gatiss gathered all the fandom theories and jokes and threw what he liked into one episode. Not sure what to think of it. But yeah... I guess I'll watch ep 2 tomorrow anyway. Still hoping for closure.

xx

Haha, that's a difference between us two then ^^ But as long as you're having fun!

Haha, if you have that problem in German classes already, I'd advice you not to take classes here in the Netherlands :P People here generally wonder how the things we learn in class can ever be applied in real life. I wish our studies were more practical, but alas, for that I should have chosen a non-university studies.
You're gonna stay for the second semester as well? So Leipzig is a nice city then? :)

I'm... okay-ish. Very tired. Too much work, too little time. But only 4 weeks of classes left, I'll live. Christmas was fun.. mostly spent at home, with family ^^ As for New Year's Eve.. we'll stay at home as well. No one I know is throwing a party and besides there's always too much firework to be able to travel safely. Do you have plans?

You Who Came From The Stars is.... interesting? I still think the pace is a bit slow and they are criminally underusing Yoo In Na and there's a murder plot I'm not liking (sorry I hope that's not really a spoiler? you find out very soon anyway) buuuut the acting of the main leads makes up for it. Jeon Ji Hyun is geniuuus and so funny. Kim So Hyun is also very good as this stoic alien. But tbh I am actually enjoying Prime Minister And I more? Not because it's such a mindblowing good drama or anything but because it's so heartwarming. Love it. But I like both of these dramas~

Sending loads of love to the UK! <3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

No probs. Just figured I'd give you a range of recs, so you have a bigger chance of finding something that interests you. ^^ I know not all of my recs (esp the movies) are for everyone, but I was recommending my favs, so I thought I'd include it. Saw you added Karamazov no Kyodai as well, that's also a really really good drama~ Very intriguingly filmed and very well acted.

Oh, I know which gif you mean! But sadly I didn't think of saving it either. But yes, the pics are fun aren't they? :D

My Christmas was okay. And wow, Korea?? Awesome!!! :D I hope you'll have tons of fun! Ahh I want to go too, but I'll probably go later in 2014. Are you going to do a backpack trip, or will you stick to Seoul?

Still no snow? :( Boo... it's still over 5 degrees here, so no snow here either :( Strange weather, it's much too warm for winter!

Omg I'm not really awake, not everything I said makes sense. I meant the pictures taken in the Middle-East are just so much fun XD http://waitingsolong.tumblr.com/post/70884554310/johnzilla87-blackichigo1-mashaa-allah I really love the Sphynx photos! But it's been over 100 years since they last had snow apparently, so the pictures coming from there are so lovely as people seem so happy ^^

I forgot to say what Superman is about, but I think I might be spoiling it a bit if I did. The synopsis here on MDL is pretty minimal as well, but I think saying more takes away from the watching experience. It's definitely not a comedy about someone who pretends to be a hero, though. It's a lot deeper than that.
Castaway On The Moon also runs deep - the 2 main characters def have anxieties, and spend the whole movie trying to deal with that. It's not usual, but it's inspiring. Hope that helped!

..also very very good for the same reasons. Btw, if you like the recent Sherlock Holmes movies - there's a Chinese movie called The Bullet Vanishes, that tries to mirror its style, but is, as I remember it, more serious and definitely has an intriguing mystery. In case you wanted some movie recs as well ^^

Btw, I saw you have Nine on your On Hold list as well... I know the beginning is slow, but the drama is actually really good once it gets started and the time traveling and mystery are amazing and intense. It keeps you second-guessing once you get to the good stuff!

Well, it's not Christmas for me tomorrow (the Netherlands doesn't celebrate Christmas Eve, we celebrate First and Second Christmas Day (25th and 26th), but happy Christmas (Eve) to you! And may the next year be a good one for you!

..topics are dealt with, but I really liked the main cast. I have fond memories of this drama because it somehow helped me relax, haha, but it's definitely not a light happy-go-lucky drama.
W No Higeki - Short series (8 eps), good acting by Emi Takei, good mystery drama.
Tsubasa no Oreta Tenshitachi - maybe. This is based on telephone novels, an each episode features a different female lead. They're definitely interesting stories, though - and I liked the cast as well. The title translates to Fallen Angels, and the stories deal with the why/how, and and how they deal with it. I was really moved, plus it's only short episodes (35 minutes). There's a second season as well.

And, if you feel like it - I would like to recommend my favourite movie... true, it's Korean ;) But it's slightly sad and super inspiring. It's called A Man Who Was Superman and it's amaaaazing. Castaway On The Moon is

Hey! ^^

No, we don't have any snow either... it's like 10 degrees here, so no chance of snow. Seems the Middle East and Egypt got it instead, those pictures are lovely though :)

Yeahhh just skip Mirae's Choice, not worth it. I know how you feel. I watched High Kick! during the holidays, when I was really in the mood for it, and enjoyed it because of that reason.. I don't think I'd enjoy it as much now! And I'm also feeling like more J-dramas these days, so I might be able to recommend you some of my favourite Jdramas..

Tsuma Wa, Kunoichi - it's a short Jdrama, with not an exceptional resolution, but it's an interesting drama about female ninjas and politics. (Also interesting to me because it deals with the Dutch trading.) Kind of a slowish, but (to me) really beautiful drama.
Mahoro Ekimae Bangaichi - Kind of an odd drama, about 2 outcasts taking odd jobs, kind of a wide range of..

Hmm I think We Heart It and Tumblr are a little similar, and they seem to share a lot of content, so I decided to just stick to Tumblr. I already seem to have too many accounts as it is XD But I hope you like WHI!

No worries ;)

Aww, you're having RM withdrawals? I must admit haven't watched RM (or any variety show) in ages, haven't had the time for it and I miss it so much :(

Disney was great ;) And really, no Christmas decorations yet? :O We have quite a few up here in the Netherlands already and it kind of pisses me off tbh because we have a huge other holiday before that called Sinterklaas... it lasts till the 5th of December so surely they could've put up the Xmas lights a little later? -_- But I hope you'll get into the Christmas mood soon! And as even we're getting snow this Friday... I think the snow might be coming soon!

As for Marry Him If You Dare... I really really liked it at first. Now I'm just not sure, the plot's become mushy and unexciting. I'm kind of disappointed with it really, but it's still okay for a lazy, fun watch? Just not particularly... good or well planned.

Yep me and my friend will be watching it together~ It's.. quite a heavy storyline so far? Very depressing actually. The first ep had some fun moments but mostly you just feel sooo bad for the characters!

I am curious about it, though~ I'm mostly watching it for the cast (JJ, Eita, Ueno Juri) and they're mostly very good~ Well, I'm biased towards Jaejoong which makes me look past his slightly stiff acting more easily... but I think his insecurity in acting works out for this role, so that's unexpectedly a good thing ;)

For me it's not the same thing as singing along? Hence I listen to K-pop for different reasons, haha, and I have more trouble really getting into the music. It's also why I listen this interesting mix of German musicals and K-pop, as well as (slightly older) metal music and soundtracks :P

Oh, I've never actually been on the MDL Chat, I'll check it out next time I have the time ^-^

That's true, but it'd have been more fun if we could've finished it together~ We do discuss dramas as well, but watching together was just the most fun ^^

Now I really want to rewatch SKS Scandal as well, haha XD And yeah, the vid is pretty awesome, isn't it? Always good for a laugh ^^

Girl groups are not your thing then? I listen to a few of them, but overall I prefer boy groups as well.~ I haven't listened to U-Kiss much, but I do like what I've heard by them. I'm really bad with finding new music though, I tend to stick to what I already know ^_^; Another sad thing (for me) regarding K-pop is that lyrics are one of my favourite things about songs, but sadly I don't understand Korean XD So there's just a select few bands that I listen to often, haha.. mostly SHINee and JYJ.~

Yes, it was so much fun watching SKS Scandal with her... but sadly we ran out of time and couldn't finish it together :( So I had to watch the last two episodes alone... as a result I didn't like those as much as the rest of the drama, I missed my buddy ;~;

I'm not much of a rewatcher, but I'd love to rewatch SKS Scandal someday. Maybe I'll watch the special soon.. ^^ And ahh, JYJ's songs for the drama are so lovely >3< I especially love Junsu's solo song "Too Love" <3~ Speaking of SKSS, I always watch this fanvid to cheer up: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5tLOMECIng it makes me laugh a lot XD

I do listen to some K-pop, but it is mostly SHINee and JYJ for me. I also quite like SNSD, Super Junior (some of the songs, anyway, mostly SJ-M), f(x).. some others too, but mostly them. You can see more here: http://www.last.fm/user/thorified if you wish. What do you listen to? :)

I've only seen PSH in two dramas, and thought she was quite cute in both.. but as a result I'd only pick her dramas if I'm in the mood for something light.

I'll let you know then! It will probably be sometime later this week, I still want to finish Scent Of A Woman first~ Well, I still stream a lot of dramas, but downloading does have a lot of advantages. I downloaded this one when I went to Budapest with a friend, so we'd have the option of watching a drama while we were there for a week. (She's from Slovenia and I'm from the Netherlands, so it was one of the few chances we had to ~really watch a drama together.) We saw SKS Scandal instead, super fun! But I still have The Princess' Man downloaded, so I should probs watch it soon.

These days I mostly pick dramas based on who's in it, I do like being surprised by dramas as well, that's why it's so hard to pick a fav genre haha XD

Aw no :( That makes me a bit sad... because I actually really like Shin Hye as an actress, but awkward kissing scenes just majorly spoils the romance for me. Sighs. Then again, the behind the scenes of the kissing scenes is even more awkward to watch... I saw that bit of the making of for You're Beautiful and it was just... awkward. I felt a bit bad for JGS xD;;;

Thanks for all the recs! I've added quite a few to my watch list, hopefully I can get around watching them soon :D I'll probably start with The Princess' Man, because I just remembered I actually have that downloaded... so yeah probably that one first XD

I'm glad it was a good answer, haha. But because I don't really have a genre I enjoy immensely all the time finding new dramas is hard sometmes, oh well :(( I think I only like melodramas when there's a point to the suffering, but that's so hard to judge from the summaries!

..moves really quite slowly, and even now, at episode 10, we don't know much more than we did three weeks ago. But I'm liking it because it's not over the top dramatic. Scent Of A Woman is quite heartbreaking, but not overly depressing so far! I'm really quite impressed. It's quite romantic too, I like it~

As for fav genres.. it's hard to say, I like so many different things! But I think I like mature romantic comedies best... is that even a genre? Well, I mostly like mature plots and characters, the setting isn't that important, though I don't like horror and am not overly fond of detectives. It doesn't even necessarily have to be romantic (which is why I liked School 2013 so much), but I do like really romantic couples as well. ..sorry, that's not really a good answer. What's your favourite genre? :)

Kim Woo Bin is fantastic... I also really like Kim Ji Won, I just wonder if that's enough to make me like the drama as I am not that fond of high school dramas generally and only watch them rarely XD; but uh oh Park Shin Hye still hasn't improved on her kissing scenes? Oops I mean all her kissing scenes that I've seen were super awkward, you'd think she'd work on that o.O

I'll add A Tree With Deep Roots to my watchlist then ^^ I do need to see more historicals though! I always used to be fond of period dramas from the UK, so I should transfer that love to dramas as well, right? But I think I've only seen Painter Of The Wind, SKS Scandal, Iljimae and Jang Ok Jung... so that's not nearly enough. XD If you have more recommendations, feel free to let me know?~ :)

Well I think Marry Him If You Dare works well as a weekly drama, I'm not sure how enjoyable it is when marathoned, as the plot..
