..and generally happier, so I can't say I'm really wishing for a reunion of sorts unless SM Ent. is not involved.. but it is a waste that things had to turn out like this, especially musically I think DBSK reached heights that few bands after them have managed to reach, especially vocally (though imo SHINee's growing in this direction as well, but I don't think they quite reach the same level). JYJ's music is more simple imo (though I do like it loads and loads, they certainly seem to have a bit more input nowadays which is also good for them, not to mention the solo recordings) but the choreography is so disappointing.. and esp the concerts are still lacking something indeed. It seems awkward sometimes. But for the JYJ guys personally... I think this is better. To quote Junsu: "Back then, I used to dream about when I could have six hours of sleep - but now I’m getting at least six hours

RMPW just ruins you for most other dramas. :P Queen In Hyun's Man did the same for me with Korean romcoms... though of course there are quite a few I do end up enjoying, somehow none have the pull QIHM had. :')

Well DBSK seems to be a tricky subject and people easily get fired up about it ;) (Have I been talking to the wrong people?) There is indeed something missing from JYJ as compared to when they were five... I still maintain they didn't want to split off, just wanted some better contracts and the money they deserved. (But what do I know, there's still so much unclear.) They probably feel the pain the worst, and that makes me so sad? There's a lot of unresolved pain there it seems, but at the same time.. they do seem happier at CJes. I can't speak for HoMin (I don't follow them much) but, excepting Yoochun with his currently kind of excessive schedule, the guys do seem more relaxed

I'd say, "I hope you enjoy it when you watch it" but enjoy isn't really the right word for a movie like The Front Line, haha. But you get what I mean, right?

Yessss so perfect. Though I watched other dramas before, RMPW really pulled me into this drama-world, and I've not yet seen another drama where I care as much about the characters as in this drama. I think a rewatch is in order :) ahhh I miss them so much...

Haha I love JYJ, but tbh I'm not very familiar with DBSK (don't shoot me). I really do love all the JYJ guys, they're so genuine :) Junsu's my bias and sunshine, plus I like his voice best personally. I always listen to it to calm down. But I love all of them, all three are very inspiring and talented guys and I love seeing their friendship as well. :) As for the OT5.. I find the whole situation so tragic I try not to get into it too much ^_^;;;

Tbh I think Tae Guk Gi is worse, because the brother-relationship brings a whole extra emotional charge on the table. That being said..! The Front Line is also a pretty heavy watching experience. I'm quite fuzzy on the details, but it was a good movie... just accompanied by tragedy.. it's mostly about a constant battle for a particular mountain, and how it's constantly being occupied by the North or South.. the fun thing is that the soldiers try to reach out to each other, which makes the fighting just that much harder to watch as well.

No Uhm Tae Woong for you then ;) Like said, I can understand your reaction. I'm sure he's a lovely guy but I just cannot feel his acting, personally.

Omo I so agree with you, I could watch anything RMPW related over and over again :') Let's hope for at least another special indeed! I'm sure there's tons of people who wanna see it!

True true ^^

And omg, I know. Tae Guk Gi broke my heart, the relationship between both brothers and just the overall desperation.. it was a very good movie, but definitely not one to rewatch. I generally avoid war movies as well, but Tae Guk Gi (as well as The Front Line) are some of the very few Korean movies that have been released here, so I figured I'd watch them legally and support the industry. But whaa, this movie... ;~;

Yeah, Uhm Tae Woong is in Neverending Story. I can kind of understand your reaction, I'm not an overly big fan of his either. It's just, that movie has Jung Ryeo Won and she's awesome. ^^ But I'm also watching a drama that has him as a lead rn and sometimes he just gets on my nerves... then again, it might be the plot, it's really frustrating sometimes xD

Oh no, hope you'll be able to watch it soon!

Indeed :) I'm already reading quite a few books on Korea.. all this adds extra excitement. I wonder what's more fun, the actual trip or the planning ^^

Yes indeed! Dramas are different because you spend so much time with the characters... especially when it's a currently airing drama. Movies really need to draw you in. There's a lot of movies I am really impressed by, e.g. Tae Guk Gi or Never Ending Story, that really do get to me, but I don't feel like rewatching as often. I gave them high scores though.. ^^ Maybe I should add the movies I bought on DVD to my favourites list, even if I rated them lower than 10. It's an eternal dilemma XD I hope you like Superman when you watch it. ^^

Thankfully I was too young to remember most surgeries, so it's mostly just a feeling that lingers really. But thanks :D If the surgeries are not too graphic I might be persuaded to watch it... it's LJS after all. :)

Thank you! I'm only going in October though, there are soooo many things to be done before leaving though.. but Korea should be a nice reward.

I'm very picky with movies. ^^ A Man Who Was Superman really moved me, and that's why it's a favourite. I should probably add more movies to the list sometime.. but I find it hard to judge if a movie deserves a spot on the favourite list, haha. Picking favourite dramas is easier, I just pick the ones I have really good memories about. For me, it's less easy to get attached to movies, so that's why that movie is the only one on there. I'll add more later ^^ But yes, I would recommend Superman. :)

Some J-subs are okay... but just to be sure I generally wait till subbing is done XD You learn from experience, eh ;)

I'm just not fond of medical dramas in general. I've had a few too many surgeries when I was younger, so seeing surgeries on the screen makes me uneasy. I definitely trust LJS's taste, but whether or not I will watch his medical drama will depend on how graphic it is, I think.

Someday you will :D Going to Korea is my graduation gift to myself, after finishing my Masters at uni. I've been able to save up a bit of money for a big journey at the end of my educational journey.. and figured it might be most fun to go to Korea now I'm so interested in it. I hope you get to go soon as well!

Sorry for the late answer, I was out of the country for a bit ;;

And yeah, it wasn't the most fun experience waiting for subs *lol* Though to be fair, I watched Koukou Nyuushi and Akumu-chan shortly afterwards and man, those were slow subs! Esp Koukou Nyuushi. It made me give up on watching a currently airing J-drama for a long time. Though it must be said, the worst experience with subbing I'm actually living through now... a T-drama that's not being subbed on Viki and it's taking forever! I know subbers also have their own lives but I wish I'd realized before starting, and I'd have started the drama later.

Indeed let's spread the LJS love :D Though I heard he's confirmed a medical drama and I don't like those *cry*

Haha, will do. :) It's so much fun to be able to plan this trip. I've never been so far away from home.. gonna be interesting for sure ;)

We shall see :)

RMPW is actually the first drama I watched as it aired. Waiting for the subs took forever , esp the last ep..! So maybe waiting to watch it was better ^^

My love story with LJS had the same progression kekeke

I have phases where I prefer either K- or J-dramas.. right now it's K-dramas, probs 'cause a friend and I are currently planning our trip for later in the year. Gotta get in the right mood ;)

Here's a different trailer for "3 Days": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Z0_5emHMt4

I'm super excited~ The upcoming dramas all look great, but "3 Days" and "Bride of the Century" seem most interesting to me. :) Thanks for an interesting article <3

Hmm I feared as much. Reactions to the Nezumi drama seem to be a hit-or-miss. I do like period dramas from Japan (though I haven't seen too many yet), guess I'll give it a try then when time allows. Thank you ^^

They are very lovely dramas indeed :D RMPW was the first drama I really fell in love with, so for me it will always be special, even if I've grown to love K-dramas a bit more than J-dramas over the past year. As for School and I Hear Your Voice, amazing stories with great acting. :) I really fell in love with LJS there... judging by your favourite actors list the same happened to you? ^^

Hey there! Thanks for the friend request :) You have the most amazing drama list, wow, so many dramas! Very impressive ^^

I hope you don't mind me asking.. I saw you're watching Nezumi, Edo wo Hashiru, I've been thinking about watching that myself, but I'm not sure. Would you recommend it? :)

I see what you mean re: quality :( Might still have to download it... if the quality is as good (or bad) as streaming sites, then it will at least be able to work as back-up should my internet be of the not-so-stellar variety in Munich. Thanks again <3

Very good ^^ I like Tsuma Wa, Kunoichi because it was kind of a nice, calm historical drama? About ninjas without the constant fighting. It didn't give real closure though. But I still liked it, also because they used a bit of Dutch in a few eps and I liked that quite a bit ;)

I'm mostly just watching currently airing dramas - I can time them the best with my schedule at the moment. You Who Came From The Stars is really a lot of fun though. Me and my drama buddy are really enjoying it, and so is my Korean friend who doesn't like Kdramas ^^ I'd really recommend it so far.

Are you enjoying those dramas? I'm really impressed you're watching QSD, so many eps! Is it as good as they say? :)

That's exactly why I liked it. I fell in love with Eita there so I'm glad to have watched it. Most of my favourite JDramas from last year kind of flew below the radar (Tsuma Wa Kunoichi, Karamazov No Kyodai), but it doesn't mean they're not worth watching ^^

I've not been watching too many dramas lately - just currently airing ones (Prime Minister And I, I Need Romance 3, You Who Came From The Stars), and Arang And The Magistrate. Didn't like that too much, but I'm really enjoying PMAI and YWCFTS. I'm also watching the last few episodes of BBC's Merlin right now - used to love that series but never managed to watch the last 10 eps so I'm doing that now. I can't find a new drama that I'm in the mood for so I'm settling for this for now :') How about you?

Yesss a birthday reminder would be very good indeed!
