The first two episodes of this show were good but it had it's flaws (the writers were relying too much on the telepathy to tell the story and New's performance as an over exaggerating Japanese manga character was not the best but he gave it a good try). But from episode 3 this show turned into something beautiful. It wasn't trying to compete with the Japanese adaptation anymore but rather started telling the story in it's own special way.

I love the fact that it tackles so many different social issues in a very satisfying way. The show is not preaching its message to us. But it gets the message across in a gentle yet impactful way and I love that. And as it focuses on the different issues it doesn't feel like you watching completely different shows. It's all connected and organic to the story being told. I never once thought about fast forwarding through any part of the story.

The main couple has excellent chemistry together as they should because the actors know each other very well. And their storyline hasn't yet become boring. I am very much looking forward to what will happen with them next. Their storyline is carrying the entire show and the secondary couple is in no way stealing their shine, like what tends to happen with a lot of shows. The secondary couple has an excellent amount of screen time and their storyline is just as intriguing as the main couple in my opinion. I can also see the male/female pairing developing from episode 5 and I must say that I don't mind it. Not many BL shows can do a male/ female pairing properly but this show is different, the writers understand that their story is not supposed to take up a lot of the screen. It is not their show (or genre).

All in all I am enjoying what i am seeing from this show, they are entertaining me. And they are returning that fantastical spark that most BLs had in the earlier years, before we had this explosion of BL content. Many of the recent BLs don't have that spark that makes you curl up in bed while watching the entire episode with a smile on your face. God I missed that!

(Sighs).....Ep 13 was very cartoonish. The amount of things that happened and the amount of plot armor and coincidences made the whole episode seemed kinda ridiculous, in my opinion. There is only so much suspension of belief I expected I would have to give to a show that started out very grounded. But episode 13 'Fast and Furioused' me where the writes are like "screw your suspension of belief, are you not entertained?"

Guys I think episode 3 just ended with the BL moment of the year thus far. Of all the BLs I've watched this year I don't think any of them had a better moment than the ending of episode 3. Correct me if I am wrong. Only RakDiao's declaration of love for each other comes in a close second for me.

I hope other BL producers, directors and writers are taking notes from this show. This is how a sweet and cuddly show is done. There is purpose to it, it's not sweet and cuddly just for the sake of being sweet and cuddly. Ji ho Joon and Seo Jae Yoon aren't sitting on a beach just because it makes for a beautiful scene, there is purpose behind it.

P.S: Yes, the plot has elements of Rak Diao in it but I don't think that makes it an inferior show. There is virtually no new story that us humans can tell in this day and age, it's all been told before. The only thing that can be done is executing your version of the story in an interesting and entertaining way, and I think this show has been doing that well so far.

I am never a fan of tragic endings for BLs but this one was well done. Every single viewer knew that the show was heading for a tragic ending from episode 1 even though a lot of us were hoping for a miracle in the end. The tragedy took no one by surprise. But the journey to that point is what the show was all about. If the plot of History: MODC had that in mind the show would have been better received when it first aired. These kind of endings suck but when done right I think they are very necessary every once in a while. It's like medicine for all of the sugar BLs feed us year round. The viewers that are up in arms about the ending will get over it a couple months from now and probably have a better appreciation for the storytelling. But please, no more tragedies for another 2 years or so.

Ps: Yeah you can be nitpicky about the logic of the time travel aspect of the show and the things you would have done differently if you were in Jae Woo's situation. But I don't think the intention of the writers was to save Ji Hoon, I think the intention was to free Jae Woo from his guilt and for him to know that Ji Hoon had willingly sacrificed himself to save him. And Ji Hoon would choose to do it again in loop after loop.

This show is the perfect example of what all other BLs should strive to be. Nothing dramatic, just a sweet and honest love story between two guys.
My heart is aching. Why are the writers doing this to us? It's basically becoming emotional torture at this point. I thought the kiss under the bridge was a sign of better things to come, but now, after episode 6, the show has sunken me into a hole of depression far deeper than when this season started. Ji Woo's reasoning better be the best explanation I have ever heard in history or else I will riot!!!!

1. Seo Joon curling up into a ball and lamenting why Ji woo is been so harsh to him. 2. Seo Joon moving to live…
Yes, there are a lot of little things that have gone unnoticed in season 2 so far, like when Ji Woo was cleaning in the middle of the night in ep 4 for seemingly no reason at all. But I think it was his way of working out some kind of frustration towards Seo Joon who is camping out in an RV right next to his house. Maybe he felt like marching into the RV and having his way with Seo Joon. But he ignored those feelings by occupying himself with household chores in the dead of night. When this season is finished and people rewatch it, little things like that will start to be noticed.

Ok writers, I see what you are doing and I will stay for it. I agree with the others that we don't really care…
1. Seo Joon curling up into a ball and lamenting why Ji woo is been so harsh to him.

2. Seo Joon moving to live next to Ji woo in an RV.

3. Seo Joon telling Ji woo that sleeping next to him in the RV was the best sleep he has had in a year (Seo Joon was actually snoring).

4. Seo Joon giving those old ladies fake coupons so that they would come to Ji woo's restaurant and eat, giving Ji woo some actual work to do.

5. Ji woo secretly checking up on Seo Joon online and getting a bit upset at all the bad behavior he is finding.

6. The final scene under the bridge. That kiss gave me life!!!!! I could feel everything Ji woo was feeling toward Seo Joon in that moment. Seo Joon was being so concerned, caring, selfless, brave, sweet, vulnerable and damn sexy that Ji woo just couldn't keep his emotions to himself anymore. Shit, even I wanted to push Ji woo out of the way and take Seo Joon. It was intense.

We may not understand Ji woo's reasoning right now for why he is doing what he is doing. But ep 4 especially has encouraged me to give the season another chance. We will unravel the reasons why as the story progresses. Their Love for each other, however, is still there, intact. Now, they only have to work their way back to each other.
Ok writers, I see what you are doing and I will stay for it. I agree with the others that we don't really care much for the new characters, we just want to see the two leads get back together. But I guess that will be the endgame of the season. People are still upset about the way ep 1 and 2 were executed and I understand that. But alas, ep 3 and 4 has restored my faith in the show. It is starting to become the To My Star I remember from season one. The moments from ep 3 and 4 that melted me and soften my heart to the acceptance of season two were:

Ummm......Guys, did they change the whole production team for ep 1 or something? Ep 0 was pretty good, a solid 7.5 maybe 8/10. What happened afterwards? The story for Ep 1 crawled across my screen for what seemed like hours but when I checked the time stamp only 29 freaking mins of the episode had passed. The scenes are very static, basically nothing is happening in them besides talking and talking and even more talking. And the jumping back and forth between the past and present is confusing as hell.

I am so glad the general consensus is that ep 10 was infuriating. It means it's not me alone that felt that way. Writers and Producers, please, we just want to see a story about two guys falling in love with each other. There are probably thousands of different ways you can tell such a story. There is no need to add dramatic twists and turns to their love story, we as the audience wouldn't think any less of you if your show doesn't have dramatic twists and turns. Just tell us an interesting tale and give us sweet moments between the leads that make sense to the story. That's all you have to do and we will love you for it.
Kudos to Yacth who played Dr. Metha. He absolutely disappeared into the role. I have seen him in a few BLs before and he has always been more or less the comic relief, and he is pretty good at it. But his performance as Dr. Metha was incredible and I am stunned that he has such a range in acting. I hope to see him in more dramatic roles in the future. He really is a good actor.

I’m 4mins in, if I hear that laughing track again..
Oh trust us, continue watching despite the laugh track. You will be glad you did. This show is one of the best that came out this year. The annoying laugh track will never go away but you will learn to love it as the episodes go by.

I’m so confused when I see comments like this. I don’t know how anyone could watch 12 episodes, 25 minutes…
That is a perfect remark. You should trademark it immediately lol.

I 110% agree with you here. I had to sit through tragedy after tragedy. I love BLs because they offer you that fantasy of a happily ever after. If I could watch a BL where the two leads fall in love in an entertaining/captivating way and nothing could threaten the sacredness of their relationship, every challenge they face they do it together. I would immediately rate that as the greatest show of all time and watch it over 100 times.
