I haven read the book, but with the way the drama is going, it seems like Lu Chen knows more about GX while she doesn't. It might have been the dynamic of their relationship since the beginning, and as we are seeing now Lu Chen is kinda a reserved and private person. These are just my thoughts i haven't actually read the book yet lol

Whatâs wrong with mundane dialog? Isnât life mundane itself? Plus, itâs written exactly based on the novel. Itâs not everyoneâs cup of tea obviously, but there is nothing wrong with it either.
