Excuse aside, they are named SIDE characters, so the writers just sum up their lives as a side dish :) They could've shown them all bubbly and happy and all, but in Ji ung's case with his heavy baggage i guess they did a decent ending. Poor thing needed time to heal.

You'll love their chemistry and romance. There is not much cringe and the love triangle is not troublesome :)
