A hot mess!

Ok so i started this drama knowing it will revolve around polygamy. I have seen American tv series based on polygamy and the Big Love aspect, so this was not so surprising.
But this Jdrama was pure chaos mixed with nonsense. From the first episode, you realize that ML has been In love with the FL for 12 years. Yeah cool, but how come you married the other two? for the benefits or the convenience they offered?
Although hare-kon is completely fictional, polygamy does exist in the same scenario shown in the drama.

As mentioned by the FL in the drama 100 times, the guy is just a horny boy. Jobless, lost, simpleton, horny man. Yeah, that's him the entire time. He doesn't care much. He just wants to have his daily dose of sex, hug, kiss, and then he is complete.

The FL, on the other hand, falls in love with the guy so easily, and starts loving the wives too. That's how harems work. The other two wives have decent backgrounds, but in the end come right back into the ML's arms. Their love is so BIG lol

The story has no depth. It's silly. Be prepared to see the ML saying I love yous to all of his wives :)))) The Romeo shown at the beginning quickly dissolves into thin air and a messy Husband replaces him.

Overall, if you have free time to spare, watch it. Other than that, not recommended at all.

Typical Noona romance, with a background history

I kinda had high expectations from this drama, since it was suggested to me by a few of my friends.
The story seems cliche to me personally, because it's the childhood romance that blossoms into adulthood, plus there is an age gap and noona romance too!
The leads are cute. There is chemistry, but kinda you can feel the love from the guy's side, which tbh can kill the vibe.
The FL is kinda weird. looks weird most of the time, and her character development is weak.
The ML, on the other hand, gives you the feeling that he's clingy, yet his feelings are genuine.
The background story shown is the strong point of this drama, and shows how they were raised together and where the love comes from!
Don't expect much skinship and steamy kisses( there are plenty of kisses though, but not that great IMO)

The OST was below average. Nothing that beautiful to the ears.
The second leads had decent development and decently depicted.
The drama, however, got really draggy. 29 episodes were too much.

Overall, a decent watch. Not something i will go back and rewatch.

Really lives up to the hype

I'm not a fan of thriller action dramas, so I was skeptical to watch it or not.
I dare say seeing a really high rating on MDL acted like an incentive for me to watch it, and I must say I'm glad I did.
Love Lee joon Gi and Moon chae won. Both are like the stars in the Kdrama world. Their acting was flawless, and so was this drama.

Story:
Technically, it's full of loopholes. But everything happens for a reason and the interpretations are vast. It's one of those dramas where every problem was resolved ( except for a few minor occurrences).
The writers did a marvelous job keeping everything on track.

Acting:
Flawless, with the least amount of cringe. Even the second lead's story was fully covered. It's not one of those dramas where you get angry over silly, absurd, and nonsense characters. Everyone is there for a reason.

Romance/relationships:
As someone who adores romance In kdramas, even though this drama's focus was elsewhere, the romance was depicted so purely and genuinely that deserves thorough applause ( thanks to the acting and story). You will love the leads, albeit their background story is hurtful.

Soundtrack:
It fits perfectly. The background music pieces composed are delicately embedded to match the stories.

Overall, an incredible choice to watch, even if you're not an Action/Thriller fan. You won't be disappointed.

A romance that burns your entire existence

This drama is a typical XianXia. It's got everything; from romance to gods, evils, mortals, hardships, and magic.
If you're a romance lover, be prepared for a battle of the hearts. But, in the end, your heart will be so full that you want more :)

The story
As my experience with other high-quality Cdrama xianxias, the plot has 3 stages:
1- The first encounter, happens between the immortals and gods. This is the base of the drama. There has a been war years ago, and the villain was captured, who happens to be the heartthrob Dongfeng Qingceng. We get to know two polar opposites with broken pasts come in contact. And, there is a love curse involved( romance lovers: this curse is the core here :)
2- The second stage happens in the mortal realm. But this time the leads are not there for hardships or examinations. They are there to really learn the meaning of their existence. This is where they truly fall in love( or at least we see it for ourselves).
3-The final stage is Sacrifice in my opinion. True lovers Sacrifice each other for their beliefs and their loved ones. Everything is wrapped up quite well and there are loose ends left, which is phenomenal.

Acting
All did well in my opinion. Even the villains are portrayed and depicted well. You can clearly feel their motives and the reasons behind their sadness or hardships.

Music
I'm a sucker for OSTs. just by reading the Song's meanings, I figured out how meticulously they chose the songs to match the atmosphere and the leads' love for each other. The background pieces used were marvelous. Hope they release an album soon can't wait!

Overall
A very pleasurable Cdrama. If you're into romance, action, wars, hatred, magic, and misunderstandings, this will keep you hooked till the end. You will be craving more each episode, as the story goes on.

A mini series to warm your heart

Soundtrack #1 is just your average, cliche Kdrama. The story is calm. The cast are simple. There is minimum adversity.
The typical story of an unrequited love, this drama takes you to the depth of a one-sided crush.
The music is so related to the story, and the lyrics are wonderfully arranged for the audience to understand its purpose.
No triangle, no villains, no sadness.
It my be a bore to some, but that's how cliches are. Be prepared to hear the their story, as it's like a audiobook playing in your car.

Below average, just watch it to fill your time!

It's basically a short, low-budget, and filling bl drama. i couldn't udnerstand the chemistry much. the kiss scenes very so sudden with minimal chemistry.

i think it had the potential to better if not for this production and short drama because there was no development and 4 episdes each around 15-20 minutes doesn't even make it a movie imo.

overall, not recommended. if you like to see a bl with cute leads that doesn't make sense, give it a try.

Loopholes, twists, and more!

This drama is rather old, yet i decided to give it a try.
The story is quite good, with the typical time travel aspect, but the writers decided to make it so complicated that it was turned into a cringe-worthy drama!
You won't get answers regarding the things that happen in the drama.

The cast is pretty decent. The leads have great chemistry and develop very well, but again due to the nonsensical complications, their relationship becomes nonsense too.

The music is rather average, except for one song that is so relatable to the drama.

Overall, a veryyyyy average and cringe-worthy drama. Not recommended.

Office romance + childhood friends

I haven't watched so many Tdramas and wanted to try them out. Came across Aaron Yan and my eyes were set on him lol
The story is a typical office romance, but with a twist at first. The couples have great chemistry but the show has little skinship and kiss scenes( a total of 5-6 i guess lol)
Each episode is exceptionally long and you won't miss much if you skip a few minutes each episode.
it literally takes a long while before they become a couple and in my opinion, with the good onset chemistry between the leads, they could have focused more on their relationship.
There is a low-key love triangle and it doesn't get dangerous lol
Wish it focused more on character development, rather than showing office work.
Overall, a decent watch. The leads are so good together.

Body swap and more!

I came across this drama precisely a year after it ended. I didn't even know it existed, but a dear MDL user suggested it and here i am!
First and foremost, it's a romantic comedy fantasy drama. Initially wanted to give it a 10, but the ending was with an unnecessary twist and that wasn't to my taste. Unlike many Cdramas i have watched till today, it's not cringey and it doesn't get draggy at all, which is a bonus. And, it's so light-hearted that you can relax and watch it. There are mishaps and adversaries, but they are solved eventually. In addition, it has no stiff love triangles! The leads only have eyes on each other.

Story:
I was kinda shocked to see a Cdrama with decent writing. Except for a few plots, most of the problems are addressed in the end and no loopholes are left. Some say the second leads should have been paid attention to, but i think not all friendships should turn into relationships and that was fine. I liked the body swap aspect, and it was elaborate enough to get invested in the story. Until then they decided to change the ending and make it realistic, rather than a fantasy drama. They could've stayed with the actuality of body swap happening to the leads and that was just beautiful.

Acting:
I was already familiar with Liang Jie in Eternal love and i was expecting to see some fun, naughty acting, which she delivered quite well. The ML, Zhang Xincheng, delivered a magnificent act. We get to see a shy, introverted guy with a traumatic past fall in love with an ordinary girl with a warm heart. The lead's acting and chemistry were 10/10 for me. Plus, they bring about the kiss scenes so genuine and beautiful that you can't take your eyes off them.
The second leads and supporting cast were decently portrayed.

Music:
I loved the pieces played throughout the show, especially "my soul" by steven zhang. He has such an angelic voice.

Chemistry:
I wanted to add this section, because i think it's as important as other aspects. nowadays, we get to see so many dramas where the leads have zero chemistry but go on kissing, hugging and etc. These two love birds actually have hot chemistry. Their love is believable and you get to feel the sorrow they are put in.

Overall, a pleasurable binge-watch for me. I will definitely go back and rewatch some of their lovey-dovey scenes.

Below Average

I love PMY and decided to watch all her dramas. This one was on my list for quite some time, so i decided to watch.
First of all, this drama is a pure mess. It gets cringey and has repetition almost every episode. 24 episodes is too much to begin with
Second, the acting. I dare say all the cast involved played at their lowest, even PMY. For instance, she acts dumb all the time. Laughs for no reason, but out of the blue she becomes this hero, then goes back to her lame self.
The MLs are even worse. The writer should be given an award for the worst writer ever in Kdrama history :)))
Third, the soundtrack. It genuinely has no soundtrack, Just 3 songs on repeat. Even the ost used is not new( heard it in some other dramas, Another bummer)
Overall, not recommended at all. Even if you're PMY fan, stay away from this one. She did much better in other dramas.

A warm drama

I didn't have high hopes for this drama, since i heard about the controversy revolving around the FL, but i gave it try.
The story is warm and fluffy. The character development is decent.
The soundtrack is really beautiful.
One of the downsides to this drama was that it got really draggy and cringey through the middle.
The FL needed a better character development, and the ML acted a bit out of character for the fact that he was in love with the FL.
AND last but not least, the Villain. She was just a pain in the ass. She was just there to take pictures and screw the woman she hated the most to get to his BF. Like WTF.
As for Ji Min, she was so weakly developed and acted like the victim the whole time.
And if you're a romance lover like me, this drama won't satisfy your craving. There are no skinships and only minimum kiss scenes shown. I wished the ML FL had more intimacy.

Another pandemic in the making!

Well, tbh, if you don't like anything related to Pandemic and all, stay AWAY from this drama.
This drama is technically the future pandemic of this world.
The casting was great, but it got a bit draggy and pointless at times.
There is a lot of blood, killing, stabbing, hating, and psychosis.
The ost was not that great. You could hear the same song repeat and had no variations whatsoever.
I loved the leads. They had a wonderful chemistry, but expect no skinship/romantic scenes. A big No no for romantic lovers.
Overall, an enjoyable drama. Yet, it's a bit painful for us to see after the pandemic we all went through.

A story that will tear your heart

I was skeptical at first to start the drama, mainly because of the fact that i'm not a criminal/mystery/Legal sort of a person.
The drama depicts the story of poor people vs. rich and influential people, and how the law can be easily broken and overthrown.
As a romantic-lover fan, this drama is not romantic in any sense. There is just a mild crush between the leads.
PMY shines in this drama and YSH albeit young in this drama, did a marvelous job. The antagonists also did a great job.
It got a bit draggy at some point and i think rather than 20-episode drama, a 16-episode one would have sufficed.
The soundtrack is not that beautiful to the ear; a bit too much dramatic and epic at some point, which is not well-suited for this drama.
The writers contrived a good piece, and you won't be bored much.
All in all, an enjoyable watch!

A typical Office Romance Jdrama

I love Jdramas for their short and compressed stories, and this one did its best in that criteria. A typical office romance between a director and a simple employee, COVID-19 style :)
The story is simple and smooth.
A mild love triangle that is quickly solved.
The ML is depicted well by the actor, yet the FL is way too intolerable to be true; mostly cringey. I couldn't understand her much. She only loved working :|
There is not much into this drama and it got a bit draggy in the middle. 8 episodes would suffice in my opinion.
The only downside was the romance between the leads. It's was bit unbelievable and unstable. There was an unnecessary breakup and the reunion was absurd a little.
overall, an enjoyable one.

Typical Gumiho story

I'm into rom-coms with a touch of fantasy, and the title caught my eyes. It's one of those typical Gumiho-simple girl stories, but with no past ties which is somewhat new. However, the drama gets boring a little and the characters' development is quite immature.
Pros:
- There is no love triangle ( There is a minor one though, but it's not that big of a deal imo)
- The romance is really good. Even the second leads have a good relationship
- The OST is really beautiful. The choice of songs matches most of the scenes and gives you a good feeling and a touch of love too lol
- If you like skinship and kiss scenes, your craving will be satisfied :) The leads are lovey-dovey ^^
- The relationship shown between best friends is really beautiful

Cons:
- The FL is a bit stupid. She doesn't question anything and is clumsy most of time for no apparent reason.
- The ML is really vague to the audience. The background story shown for 999 years of his life doesn't cover much.
- The ML is like a robot. Even his voice is like a robotc imo :)) His character development is not proportional. I couldn't understand his character( maybe that's a good thing, because in the end it worked for him to be a human)
- The use of magic is questionable to me per se. I mean, Once he had power, and the next minute he was human with no power. are Gumihos supposed to be like that? LOL
- So many questions were left unanswered. Like how the gumihos had no parents? how were they born gumihos? What did the mountain spirit do for them? The pieces of a puzzle is scattered everywhere :|
- The Second ML's love for the FL was unrealistic. I mean, they said he was a womanizer, but all we could see was a rich, lost boy who was in love with the wrong person.
- The FL's family background is not shown. Why their mom left for the states? Where is their father?

Overall, an enjoyable story. Yet, if you are they type to navigate through the story, beware that most of the questions will not be answered. Plus, i think 12 episodes was enough for this drama. It got draggy a little.
