Very Bland, even for a short series

The drama started off pretty ok for a short drama, yet even in 5 minutes, the story seemed empty, like we already could figure out all those who had to die will die and the revenge will complete.
There is nothing compelling about this drama, only the fact that the leads showed burning chemistry for the first few episodes, then the spark was gone. The ML is a puppy and the FL is a very angry person who wants revenge, That's it.

One thing that bothered me was that in one of the episodes, they completely blurred the leads while they were in bed. The kiss scenes were rather abrupt too. Only the ending was OK

they could have focused on the romance more and it would turn out to be more intriguing.

Overall, very very average. Nothing to be missed at all.

A true masterpiece with a few minor flaws

This drama imo is kinda suitable for mature audiences because of the problems, the stories, and even the characters all have mature themes, yet the pair shows a wonderful relationship and the story is alive because of their love.

It's not your average romance drama, but a deep one with so many ups and downs.

Story:

The story is exactly about childhood classmates who happened to be each other's first love too, but due to drama and mishaps in their lives, they never had to chance to feel the love. They grow up and fate brings them back together but they both have a very heavy baggage on their shoulders and love is not easy for them. we get to see the culture, the townspeople's stories, and also how a mature love survives despite the hardships.

Acting:

The ML and FL deliver wonderful acting. there are some minor characters that are annoying and at some point the misunderstandings get out of hand, but that's how real life is. it's not always full of butterflies and happy moments. There are so no super cringe characters( except for the mom and grandma that actually come to their senses in the middle of the drama)

Chemistry:

LX and ZYT have one of the best chemistries i have seen in Cdramas. They are a natural together and honestly, i craved for more each episode. They show how a mature couple can be intimate and romantic and this was greatly done in this drama. we get to see so many Kiss scenes and intimate scenes without the interruption of censorship( which was new kinda lol). so don't miss this!

OST:

I really like the variety of songs used in this drama. even the background music wa soothing and matched the mood of this drama.

Production:

This drama is mainly set in an old and small town with not-so-glamourosus buildings but it shows life and real people's lives which matches the story quite well. there minor scenes shot in shanghai too but this drama is not about big city and its chronicles.

Overall, one of the best romantic Cdramas of the 2024 is this one and i highly recommend this to romance lovers.

Love does not conquer all

We have always heard the famous saying " Love conquers all" but does it really?

This movie is the exact answer to that question. It shows first love and childhood romance. Fresh, full of life, and beautiful, but there is a lesson here; Timing matters. No matter how you try to keep it alive, life happens. People change. Hearts change and so does surviving in this world.

The leads depict a beautiful chemistry. Their love is real, and so are their struggles. The story does not drag at all. I can say it's flawless in some way.

Maybe it didn't fit in a movie to show more details, but that was missing a bit. They could've given each other second and third chances, but they didn't. We could've gotten to know their feelings a bit more, but that was missing too.

Overall, a beautiful movie. Not your typical love wins and all movie, but rather a very realistic and in some way heart-wrenching one.

Greenest Green flag couple!

After watching too many complicated Kdramas with complicated couples, this is like breathing a bit of fresh air!

The story is just the typical everyday life of simple people in Korea with heavy baggages in their lives, yet they try to go on and be as bright and kind as possible. Only if life was that simple!

The leads have one of the healthiest and most beautiful chemistry. Their interactions are so natural. Not to mention their steamy kisses lol. i sometimes wonder do we have such people in this world? lol

We get to see bright colors in this drama. it can be boring at times, yet who doesn't like watching esthetics and beautiful sceneries?

The only downside imo is the music. they could have gone with deeper music selections.

Overall, if you're in for a romantic, simple drama, this is for you!

A very messy Drama

This drama starts off pretty weird; the leads are both in love with their teachers.
The story revolves around Unrequited love, and a very immature bond forms between leads in order to fill the void. Their relationship progresses, but never matures. It's merely a friends-with-benefits relationship.
A very toxic Second lead forms. The respective teachers that the leads are in love with start a relationship as well, which oddly turns into marriage.
The story has no depth, is cringe-worthy, and gets silly as it goes. There are minor relationships too.
The FL with a fellow classmate who actually loves her and is willing to sacrifice herself just to see the FL happy. Their relationship remained platonic in the end. The ML, on the other hand, slept with a girl from his past, while he was in a contractual relationship with the FL.
It's full of sex scenes, but not the explicit type. The drama happens in a few limited locations and we don't get to see so much outside.
There is romance but very superficial and without depth. The leads eventually fall in love but decide not to get back together and go on living their lives. More like an open ending.

Overall, a very average drama.

Beautiful story but...

I love romantic Cdramas. This drama follows the typical trope; a girl chasing her childhood love. at first, it was a little too much IMO, yet the ML actually fell in love with her in the long run.

The drama started off pretty ok and the pacing was relatively slow in my opinion. Yet this drama was all over the place. it got too chaotic at some point( which was expected, as this drama is showing a firefighter), mixed with too much patriotism and complications. The second and third couples were ok too.

I personally liked the leads and their chemistry, but if you're a romance lover like me, you know how important it is for the actors to show affection. This drama is not some melodrama with a slow-burn romance, it's rather straightforward even from the beginning. However, the leads have the most superficial kiss scenes ever. They kiss like a few times, but each time it's like nothing. just lips touching. The chemistry is there, the kisses? NOPE. this happens a lot in cdrama world but still.

Overall, if you don't have any issues with the couple's chemistry and body language, the story is ok and watchable(albeit slow)

Very fresh and new

I watched this drama years ago. The story was weird at first, but as the characters developed, i got to see a thorough and elaborate story. The family is not functional, and so are the kids. The relationships are weird to begin with, but they grow up through the series.
I haven't watched many Taiwanese dramas as of today, but i dare say this one is a must-watch, despite it's age and somewhat mediocre production( which was ok for the time it aired).
Overall, a delicate yet entertaining drama.

Expect the most cringe-worthy Jdrama ever made

Ok so the first 4 episodes was fine. We encountered a malfunctioning couple who were so in love. One a hopeless romantic, and the other a married guy on the verge of separation from his almost-dead wife.
This drama will drive you nuts. The couple are in love yes, but the guy is so irresponsible and the woman so irritating, like she has to sacrifice everything because the guy does not know what he wants. She is the one making all the sacrifices because she thinks this the LOVE for her.
Don't forget a somehow-crazy wife in between who is in dire need of medical intervention for mental health.
And a love triangle of course. Another guy fighting for the wrong girl, which eventually learns his lesson.
Overall, it's full of cringe. Got some romantic, steamy scenes.
Plus, i think this was a promotional drama for Tiffany but in a bad way LOL

Those who have been through breakups understand this drama a bit better

I watched this drama while it aired. There was a hype going on, and i decided to join the gang.
This drama is about lovers who break up, despite loving each other for personal reasons.
The story is sad at times, but realistic.
Character development was the great point of this drama. We all carry a heavy baggage in our lives, and so did the leads. It's not like they couldn't move on. They actually did, but deep down when you love someone letting is go the hardest.
During the course of the series, i always told myself they will breakup again and it will be a sad ending. Who has ever seen a broken couple get back together, even better than their first encounter?? Well, this drama is all about that.
It's cliche, boring at times, but very romantic. You can feel with the leads and live with them for a while.
The soundtrack is just marvelous and carefully chosen.
Overall, a must-watch for diehard romance lovers!

A beautifully-depicted drama

First of all, i should say that i haven't watched the Taiwanese version and don't have the intention to do so. Even though i love Cdramas very much, i don't think juggling between the two versions and comparing them is ok. I loved how this version depicted a time travel story.

Story:

Time travel at the core with a very heart-warming romance. It can get a bit complicated, especially for binge-watchers, but if you pay attention to the years mentioned in each episode, you will get how the relationships are. I personally didn't find it confusing and we got to figure out who the main protagonists were and who were their counterparts.

Acting:

AHS, He is such a fine actor. have seen him in the past few dramas and i dare say he is getting better and better.
JYB, First time seeing her. She is very talented and presents a very true and believable character. The rest of the cast was also proper too. There are no voids here overall.

Writing:

The story is indeed complicated, but the writers didn't make it extra complicated. You have to pay attention to names and dates shown and there wouldn't be issues.

OST:

beautiful choice of songs. Each song matches the mood and scenery shown in each episode.

Overall, a very beautiful and romantic fantasy drama. Def a muct-watch!

It's like living a real life in a drama with very broken people.

I was reluctant to watch this drama for two reasons: The high rating here and the numerous average/below average reviews here (a very big contrast, i was like why?)

Anyhow, I gave in and i'm glad I did. As someone who loves romantic dramas, this drama gave me butterflies in my stomach.
I thought maybe they wrote this drama based on real people, and the story was not exactly a story but a narration of real people and real events. I felt like i lived with the cast while watching. I felt their pain, their sorrows, their longing. it was just beautiful.

Story:
Set in the countryside, the story revolves around identical twin girls and a boy named Ho-Su. They all had hard upbringings with heavy baggage in their adulthood. There are lots of trauma-related and depression issues introduced too. The characters are all broken, which made this drama very realistic. Romance is not the major plot of this story but the development of the twins and their love lives is beautifully depicted.

Writing:
I initially thought this is based on real-life people or a novel, but whoever wrote this drama interestingly made it appealing and heartfelt. unless one is so lucky in life to have an easy life, we all suffer in different areas, and sometimes it's soothing to see how healing happens in a world full of chaos. The only issue with the writing was miscommunication. albeit minor, this could have been developed better.

OST:
As a sucker for bgm tracks in Korean dramas, this one had a marvelous choice of OSTs. The songs are all beautiful and memorable. The pieces sometimes gave me goosebumps as they matched the mood perfectly.

Acting:
PBY never disappoints. i haven't been a fan of hers and only watched a few of her dramas, but delivering the twins' characters and emotions was hard, and she did amazing.
PJY, well, he delivered a green forest guy who smiled with his eyes. I loved how gentle and kind his character was and he wasn't afraid to show his vulnerability. Kudos to both!

Romance is very important to me and this drama's romance was more like a subplot, but it felt like it was there from the beginning. The first-love trope existed from the first episode and the adult Miji-Hosu's relationship and chemistry was amazingly beautiful. wish they had more initmate/kiss scenes though lol.

Overall, a beautiful drama. i'm glad the negative reviews and the super high rating didn't sway me.

A drama where you can feel zero chemistry between the leads

Rarely do i drop dramas, mainly because of the fact that i hate leaving any projects unfinished.
The drama is supposed to be a romantic fantasy; focusing on a boss's life and his family and past relationships.
It had potential, but up until episode 10, i personally couldn't understand anything.
There is no logic in this drama( I know it's fantasy but at least they should have thought things through)
The leads literally have no chemistry while they already kissed like 2-3 times in the first 10 episodes by accident.
The ML is like a robot. His face has no expressions. He can't even show sadness, anger, love, etc.
The FL is cute and clueless and i wanted to continue because of her mainly, but the story didn't keep up.
There is a cartoonish turtle( which was fine and cute at the same time, but i saw technical errors even in that aspect. For instance, the voice actor is not talking but the turtle's lips are moving and making gestures! so silly tbh. They really need to be considerate even in such absurd details.

Overall, it had potential in my opinion, but the story lacks a lot.

Painful but beautiful at the same time. Definitely a must-watch for Romantic Melo lovers!

The first episode literally shouts what's going to come: heartbreak, pain, and, most important, LOVE.

If you're familiar with Korean melodramas or Ktraumas, you will know how this is.
Two people from two different worlds are met by fate. One is emotionally shut down, and the other does not have much time to live. Each is going to light the other's life, but they don't have forever to give or spend with each other.

The cinematography and OST are all amazingly beautiful. the scenes, the landscapes, and, most importantly, the songs used pierce the soul.

Updated Review:
If you look closely, episode 1's beginning is actually the ending of the drama. why?

Story:
A terminal patient with hopes of fullfilling her only wish to become an actress, finds the rare chance to star in a movie about a terminal patient directed by someone who has his own baggage of issues. The path is bumpy with so many problems, from her illness and those around her, to the ML being under pressure to make the movie happen. But the story goes on and these two also fall in love. not just a platonic superficial love, but a deep one that lasts a lifetime. "Our Movie" is made in the end and the leads get to watch it, one in this world and the other from the other side. Heartachingly beautiful.

The Cast:
I have seen previous works of Nam Koong Min and Jeon Yeo Been. Both are talented artists. I wasn't expecting to see their chemistry flourish into what we just saw. They literally delivered the best versions of Lee Jeha and Lee Daeum that will stay in the hearts of the fans for a long time. The second leads albeit annoying a bit, delivered the respective roles quite beautifully.

Production and writing:
Simply poetic and artistic. the colors, scenes, and the characters emotions conveyed is so deep in this drama. there are a few minor issues in the writing but in my opinion, these issues and faults are what make a drama so beautiful.

overall, this drama became one of the best of 2025 for me personally. 10/10 recommended to those who love this genre and this marvelous cast!

This Chinese BL is SO GOOD!

I always refrain from Chinese BLs due to the fact that they end up being bromances with no actual intimate scenes, but DAMN, this one is so good.

The story, acting, cinematography, and literally everything.
The leads have so much chemistry and are amazing. The plot is also very mesmerizing and definitely gonna be one of the best chinese BLs.

shall wait and see how the rest unfolds!
