i loved how frustrating it was to see the main characters communicate and operate around each other! it was refreshing and interesting. those evil puppy eyes!! 🥲
however, i didn't like how the script handled the suicide of one of flora's best friends (very cliché narrative about depressions) and the grief that followed after. it didn't feel genuine at all to me and was over too fast. i'm not sure if it's just the script and editing or the actors, nevertheless i was disappointed.
it would have been more interesting to see luke and flora's relationship slowly develop properly after their fallout, yet that didn't happen. the ending was rushed, and the memory hall was so kitschy. it didn't do the relationship justice. but i liked the hide and seek of a forbidden workplace relationship, and think that was well done!
tldr; it started off very promising but lost its spark about a quarter before the ending
