Loved your analysis and thoughts about the 2 remaining men in CSS life. Their struggles are real as they come from dysfunctional home lives and with LBY traumatic background and so they will be making blunders as they learn to have healthy relationships. I think we will see more character development for them both in the upcoming episodes and YS ( I know hes not popular) will actually be around for CSS over the 5 years to support her in LBY absence. CSS and LBY have "attachment" issues and this is a really hard hurdle to overcome to form trust in someone.
Just wanted to say that WL looks very handsome particularly in 2 outfits so far in this series, imo. I liked him in the cream top and dark grey bottom half skirt ( sorry have not the technical ancient Chinese descriptions). This was very elegant and he just glided in this outfit. This was when he went to pick up CSS from the Eastern Palace and I think he wore this for the Huo family memorial dinner. The other outfit I enjoyed him in was his engagement robes. Again this was not your typical " feast of red" overload but restrained and harmonious. He looked like a man of style, a man who knows what he wants.

Question: Regarding the scriptwriters plot device of the fake tiger seals which was not in the novel. Does this get resolved as it is of national significance?
I typed this answer before seeing yours and we agree on the Princesses' bullying, My beef is that we didn't get enough scenes of QiQi and Song's romance to explain how that all happened. One kiss and then next mothers are talking marriage arrangements? Surely they could have taken out one of the Princess's bullying scenes and replaced it with a QQ and Song moment. And what about YangYang? The Marquis Ban has been turning up at the Cheng's residence and we don't even get a glimpse of that.

Maybe it is just me, but I feel like the recent episodes were a bit off. I think it is the editing and pacing…
I totally agree, theres been a disconnect for the first time particularly over Ep 31/32. There wasn't the usual balance in the pacing of the story. There were not rollercoaster of emotions for us to experience it was a dead weight like an Arthouse movie. I do love Arthouse movies just didn't think I would get to experience 2 episodes of this on C drama historical romance.

We need to see more to QiQi and Song's romance! It all seems a bit rushed...now they are talking about an engagement from one kiss? Rushing and skipping here scriptwriters
I have to comment that there are soooooo many spoilers on this drama. But love it, need it, want it.......we're on a journey together. We all know what the destination is (HEA), we're all in the car together watching and enjoying the scenery, sometimes we get lost on the way , thats why we need the spoilers... to remind us the destination will be worthwhile. Meanwhile our suitcases are packed with the right clothing for the Spoiler signposts along the way. And boxes of tissues as we've all been warned.
