Directors and Producers, please take note WE WANT MORE DRAMAS LIKE THIS please Charmingly done, well paced script, engaging story, beautiful cinematograph and delightful leads. Is this too much to ask?
Its refreshing like a cool and tangy drink after wading through a parched desert of C dramas.

I hope after all the positive comments for ZLH as we so seldom see him (or I haven't) in modern contemporary roles I feel he should do of these rather than a slew of historical dramas in which imo, for some reason he does not look as dashing or downright handsome as he does in modern dramas. Is it because MLs in historical dramas tend to look ( generically speaking if they have delicate defined features? Just a thought......

That is a long time coming too. Who would not want to be a priority for your partner who respects and actively cares for your mental and physical needs but allowing you to heal and grow at your own pace.....so perfect,sigh. Not real life but we can dream on.

This is the first time in all the ZLH dramas that I've felt some sympathy for his character and the rejection hes experiencing. I've watched him from his first Maiden Holmes drama and lately was seriously considering whether to bother to watch any more of his efforts with some of his costars. However he's surprised me with his portrayal of SY and I'm enjoying this modern love story and how its been directed and filmed.

I find it hard to believe that Douban opening ratings. only score this 5.4 from 43,000 ratings.......obviously not as loved in China?

Well said. This is an enjoyable light Chinese historical rom com with many allegories to Austens Pride and Prejudice. Love and family are important....prejudices cause misunderstanding and hurt. Have respect for others, forgive and learn from your mistakes. Warm family viewing imo and yes, there are flaws in character development but I'm not watching for that. Different strokes for different folks.
