One good thing about this drama is it killed the cold domineering CEO as great ML material trope dead. Stone cold.…
That is a long time coming too. Who would not want to be a priority for your partner who respects and actively cares for your mental and physical needs but allowing you to heal and grow at your own pace.....so perfect, sigh. Not real life but we can dream on.
This is the first time in all the ZLH dramas that I've felt some sympathy for his character and the rejection hes experiencing. I've watched him from his first Maiden Holmes drama and lately was seriously considering whether to bother to watch any more of his efforts with some of his costars. However he's surprised me with his portrayal of SY and I'm enjoying this modern love story and how its been directed and filmed.
someone on reddit commented "I have been reading people vitriol against the drama (set during Song dynasty) pann…
Well said. This is an enjoyable light Chinese historical rom com with many allegories to Austens Pride and Prejudice. Love and family are important....prejudices cause misunderstanding and hurt. Have respect for others, forgive and learn from your mistakes. Warm family viewing imo and yes, there are flaws in character development but I'm not watching for that. Different strokes for different folks.
Here's my why:Its not a very serious drama, for sure. I like most of the actors, a lot. They are carrying their…
A great eloquent response. Imo, thats why there is a "misfit" of the typical story quality and choices these leads have previously made but again thats their choice to make, just ours to comment...hehe.
What on earth is SQ and JH doing in a drama of this quality at this stage of their careers? Surely they should be serious about their choices? Does this damage their credibility or not a concern?Oh well, people have bills and mortgages to pay. Good luck.
The Double has a lot of sexual tension and Blossom has a very Ming LAN love/family affair. It depends on what…
Absolutely agree... still haven't let go of the unnecessary demise of the Dukes two loyal and trusted guards in the last 5 mins of a 40 episode drama...obviously the Director only cared for his artistic story not the audience who is paying his bills.
OMG. AvenueX actually thinks this is the best period Cdrama of 2024 (so far!) I agree (so far!). It's so nice…
Thank you for expressing what I have been thinking about AvX. I started Blossom due to LYR and thought to give him a chance now that he has Leading Man status. I was pleasantly surprised in the first episode thinking where has this drama come from...so little promo and yet the cinematography and pace is achingly familiar... then next day saw AvX do a promotion to say this should be watched and I thought it must be serious view as shes been in a negative state ( with justice) over C dramas of late. Love your last paragraph too... I was soooo annoyed with the ending of TD and was it really necessary to kill off his comadres in the last 5 mins when we had been with them for 40 episodes....can't let this go...hehe Yes, Directors please note, we need HEAs as this world is in seismic troubling times.
This is an unexpected Xmas gift from C drama land. Wow, was taken aback with my level of interest after Ep 1......this year very few dramas made it past Ep 1,8 or 12. This is a big investment in our ML, LYR from LltG. Good on him and cross fingers he does well. He has the skills and talents.
The sword 🗡️ dance by YJL was remarkably beautiful ❤️
I saw a clip of his sword dance when he showcased his talents for the Paris Olympics and I read somewhere that he graduated in Peking Opera ( thats why his sword talents are so good). And in a variety show with Jackie Chan he was selected by him from various other young stars to do a scene for JC ( no pun intended but JC is revered ( by some ) in China for his martial arts.
If you're curious about him 'Our Interpreter & My Boss' both came out this year. Then there's the fantasy drama…
I like CXX and hes talented for sure. However doing these "cut and paste" romances are demotivating to his career as a actor with depth. These works don't allow him to grow a range of roles...same old, same old. I'm worried he'll go the same way as Jeremy Tsui.
