I've heard many people anticipating these 2 xianxia dramas. Xianxias, imo, have a very limited scope to work with and tend of late to be repetitive themes so less engaging to a wider audience.

Thank you @enigma05 I was hoping that CSS may have observed that a strong partnership in marriage will enhance both parties and how the Emperor let Consort Yue continue uninterrupted would show CSS that LBY is trying to support her in a similar way. Maybe too early for this realisation though.

I just posted a Spoiler on my interpretation of the subtle learnings of LBY Imperial family relationships from Consort Yues take down at the Memorial dinner.

Just rewatched Consort Yues speech and looked closely at everyone's reactions to her comments because their faces conveyed subtle meanings e.g when CYue challenged Aunt Ruyang for sitting in her place, the Emperor did a little smirk with his face and CSS raised her face with surprise - someone standing their ground and succeeding. Crown Prince and Empress looked anxious at this interchange. - is this a lack of confidence? Everyone else holding their breaths and turning their focus to this interchange. Its not a conversation everyone realises. When A Ruyang started to move to her new seating did you see the look between Consort Yue and the Emperor - thank you Madam, my dear wife. Everyone relaxed their shoulders from the tension in the air.
A Ruyang still trying to assert her seniority then Consort Yues retort if its seniority you want then why don't you go for the Emperor's seat? Even Wendi at this point shifted in his seat thinking, is this the time for me to step in? No, I'll just look away and leave it to the professional.
Third Princess looking very smug at her Mothers put down. Mistake, you looked too smug. Her own Mum threatens her with property confiscation and future poverty. As she continues to launch into innocent 2nd Princess who was trying to defend her sister, CSS is now moving her body from side to side to deflect any incoming messages to herself. CSS sneaked a peek at the unwise move of the Crown Princess to actually agree with Consort Yue, for she needs no one to agree with her and claim any partiality rights. She'll listen to you when Crown Princess becomes the Empress, like when will this happen? By now the Empress has a weary and wary look on her face and CSS is watching and learning - see how CSS eyes flickered back and forth when Consort Yue said by the day Crown Princess becomes Empress I won't be here so don't waste your time on me.
By now the Crown Princess is crying, and the Emperor continues to sip on his wine. Crown Prince tells his wife to stop with the tears and CSS take a swallow - there is no reprieve here.
A Ruyang does a comeback that Consort Yue is being too mean. Wendi/Emperor now chooses to look at the array of dishes in front of him as an activity for himself. He nods his head in approval when Consort Yue retorts they are all one family.
CSS raised her head again and peeked out when Consort Yue implies that all children should be brought up not to disgrace their parents unlike your granddaughter who made such a scene about not marrying LBY and now a nun.
When it was CSS turn for questioning, she raised her head nervously, foolish Fifth Princess walks right into the fray and gets lacerated with comments on her ugly looks. Her own mother, the Empress looks on worriedly but continues to eat....even when Fifth Princess walks out with the insults still coming her Mum does nothing.
And now more laying into A Ruyang ( who came uninvited anyway) about her self serving behaviours towards the Emperor who has now propped himself up on one arm as if this may be interesting.....and now the look of admiration on CSS face when she tells LBY that just ignore anyone who doubts your choice of bride. Bullseye.
I thought this session would have been a significant learning session for CSS on how her future in laws in the Imperial family operate with all their flaws exposed.
Just my thoughts for now.
