I am dying to watch today's episode to see if they included some of the novel adaptation that i wanted them to include. But I can't, got to wait so i can restart from ep 6.

exactly and in the novel, he rarely let FCY know his dark jealousy whenever he imagined her with someone else, he knew she'd run away if he did that. He controlled that aspect of himself to some extent in the novel. They really have toned down this side of him in the drama though.

but haven't they released a schedule to upload only one episode per day for the last week? I really do hope that we get thr last 4-5 episodes all at once though

in the novel Xie asks his Grand Tutor to take FCY in as his adoptive granddaughter to erase the difference in their social standing. FCY agrees and decides to walk the same path (be a military official) he did so that she could be considered someone of equal respect/standing as him.

oh yes, that story too. I hope they keep both these stories in the drama.

I feel like this should have been a 50 or 52 episodes drama, considering the story. I am just praying they don't rush the ending or the last 10 episodes like most good Cdramas have done. It's a cdrama or kdrama curse, i hope they break it.

I know where the story is at currently even though I'm not watching it. In the novel they have a long honest conversation after she finds out his identity. She explains the difference in their social stature so perfectly and beautifully through a story of a tofu-seller.
"What they don’t realize is that the one who chose the stone can always go back and choose gold and jade, but the stone will never have another chance to be chosen. That’s how it was for the tofu seller." I really hope they keep this adaptation in the show as well.

I am barely hanging on because my social media is full of POJ and I come here to read how y'all are liking it so far. I am so close to breaking. By the way, that's the right way to do it, watching and rewatching every episode. Lord knows how often i replayed particular scenes from the first 5 episodes.

Hello, made this account just to rate this beautiful drama. No cdrama has ever pulled me in the way this one did. I binged 5 episodes on its premier day and decided to hold. I can't deal with the agony of having to wait for 1-2 episodes everyday. So i chose to suffer through a different kind of pain.
