After reading the novel, I can’t wait for this show to air. The photographs released from set and the poster show a badass FL, I hope that remains the case throughout the show. Sad that some of my favourite characters from the book aren’t a part of the cast though.

He steals all my attention every time he’s on screen, he’s such a lead material. I wish more casting directors opened their eyes to how well he acts and he gets loads and loads of dramas.

ML is married to somebody but still wouldn’t let his ex go away peacefully? He is well aware of her reasons for revenge too! Let her have at least this now that she doesn’t have the army or her love interest. This ML has progressively gotten worse over the episodes, it’s so frustrating. The PM deserves all their actions to be uncovered and thrown in jail too!

thats good idea - they could make a peace treaty with a marriage and let couple to live and guard one of the border…
I truly hope somebody picks up the novel for translation because I tried getting through it using machine translation and that was tough. Clearly, so much has been misplaced or reconstructed, I want to experience the novel properly.

Yeah but I’m bound to get delirious when one lead is trying to make the FL her consort while having a wife. The one gift he’s given the FL is in hands of that wife to use for manipulation (paper dog). Meanwhile, the God of War of Beimo stops an assassination attempt to not hurt the FL, asks about the FL’s well-being when he’s free to leave prison and threatens that if she’s let down again he will lead an army to destroy the entire country.

Whatever would be better than what we got in the last third of this show. In general, it was a long journey of…
I agree with you about the ML. At most, he will be a puppet emperor under the Prime Minister. The PM didn’t even have to get his daughter married to him for that because the ML doesn’t have any critical thinking. Throughout the show, he’s followed what his mother, his three masters, Mai, Xu (Military advisor) and the PM have said. I can’t pinpoint a single decision that was solely his except a knee-jerk reaction (or mistake) to kill Cui Yan which was unnecessary and brutal. If ML remains the emperor, the country is bound for doom. He saw the FL is a woman and immediately fell in love, even that itself irks me because there’s no meaty reason behind their romance. At least realise Mai is not made for the palace, especially when you have accepted another wife and set her free. I wish Mai wasn’t as loyal as her parents because she has a whole army behind her if she wants to rebel. All her life, she has strived for revenge and she didn’t even get a proper reason for her family’s death, not from Chen Qi and the previous emperor and ML’s mother seemed to only consider her family a stepping stone at most which is beyond disrespectful.

WILD thought but with whatever has happened until now, I want A’Mai to adopt Yu (the CP’s son) and hone him into an emperor. Shang Yi Zhi can die in the war with Beimo, he isn’t competent and hadn’t shown any growth. Clearly, he’s selfish enough to bind Mai as a consort too. Yu can ascend the throne with A’Mai as his mother. As a peace treaty with Beimo, A’Mai and Chang Yu Qing can get married but stay separated until Yu is of age. By then Chang himself can be crowed the King. If they can make Mai into a consort, she can be a Queen too. One who still fights for the country. Surely, this can fit into six episodes.

I think types boss somehow knows type is gay and is just homophobic towards him because there really isnt any…
Didn’t the series hint the boss hates Type because he thinks his girlfriend (a nurse) has a crush on or a fling with Type? Type hides his sexuality at the workplace which is why even his female doctor friend doesn’t believe he’s taken.

The male lead is possessive? I read some comments talking about this
Yeah. In the beginning, it was cute but by the end it became controlling and just put me off. I kept expecting it to be addressed somewhere along the line, but it didn’t happen.

Overall, without the possessive controlling behaviour, this was a cute drama which I would've really liked.
