She’ll be wearing a mask with him during the Jiyang city arc when the ladies perform a dance during the festival like they did in the novel and leads exchange secrets. I believe OP is talking about that.

I hope he does, it’ll be nice for him to find out sooner. A personal gripe with the novel was that it took way too long. Maybe they should start showing him being doubtful in the next few episodes or by the halfway mark.
how did that tribe guy almost figure out a resemblance between he yan and the general before the ML has
The tribe was earlier supressed by General Feihong and they fought her on a regular basis. The ML last saw “He Rufei” in school and doesn’t know her fighting style except for her swordsmanship. He Yue hasn’t used a sword in any battle/duel since they met again (except when drunk and out of control) so he hasn’t picked up on the similarities. Plus it’s difficult to put two and two together when He Rufei is alive, at court, he’s a man according to ML and also trying to kill him + conspired against his father. Unless if they change something huge in the drama like have them train together longer under his father then you’re right, it’s a glaring plot hole.
LOTFG is trending #1 on MDL and the comments section is always buzzing. Not had this much fun watching an ongoing drama in a long while. Thank you all for adding to the anticipation and fun.
I've been waiting for the drama to finish and then start.Could someone tell me if there is love triangle?I ain't…
No love triangle. There is some unrequited love but it’s pretty minimal and doesn’t affect the leads. The romance is present from the get-go but they won’t confess immediately. They’ll have romantic moments throughout though. The story is pretty quick, maybe even too quick due to the editing in the first couple of episodes. There’s 270 chapters to fit into 36 episodes, no time for pause, the pacing is decent.
Is it just me who feels sad that they didn't follow the novel exactly for the fight between HeYan and the three…
Me too!! I was even looking forward to more battles between the garrison recruits especially the blindfolded archery competition but it’s understandable why they shortened these moments.
I regret my decision to watch this while it’s still airing. This drama is just too good! How do people who always…
I keep looking for new behind the scenes being released because I’m all caught up with the episodes but it’s just not enough for me. I find myself here reading through comments whenever I get a free moment. 🙈 All this when I mostly know the plot, having read the book.
For those who have finished the novel, how did you like the ending?:)
Apart from one personal favourite character’s death, it was perfect for me. The right amounts of happy, hopeful, peaceful, found-family kind of ending I prefer.
He Yan wounded and barely awake asking Xiao Jue if she did well broke my heart. Lying about it not hurting and immediately passing out with a smile when he appreciates her. All our FL ever wanted was words of encouragement and appreciation from her family. A father who praised her for her achievements. Everything she did was for her family but they hated her all the more for it. Now her moon is here and he’s willing to praise her, love her and stand shoulder to shoulder with her.
