I have no idea why Woo Jae is so hung up on Hae Ri. She keeps getting opportunities to be a good person and do the right thing, but stomps all over them with her giant ego. And she's just randomly mean for no justifiable reason. I mean the rest of the family (minus Hae Joo, he's great) is pretty terrible too, but she can easily be a better person. She just won't.
If anyone is skeptical about starting this show because of the reviews, I say give it a shot. It's a hit or a miss for many but it's definitely worth a chance.

She didn't have real romantic feelings for him. Her feelings for him are more along the lines of friendship and sympathy. She only pursued him because she thought he was her husband. They said this a few episodes ago, forgot which one though
Now for a more biased comment on my end. I really don't see the prof as having more chemistry with the FL. I saw around the same amount with her with both male leads at the beginning. As the show progressed, I saw more with Geum. But even if they didn't develop that in my eyes, I'd still prefer Geum. That's because anytime the FL needed help, Geum was there. He was the one who offered her a place to stay in the first couple of episodes, he took care of her when she was ill, he went with her to find her daughter when she was in a panic, and he was kind to her the entire time. He even has a good relationship with her daughter. The professor always came off as possessive to me. He told Geum to back off even though Geum liked and cared for her first. And what he was mumbling while he was drunk in episode 13 seemed like he wanted to "have" her rather than be with her. It was off-putting to me. The fairy was only pursuing him because she mistook him for her husband. She even developed natural feelings for Geum, despite her belief that the professor was her husband (I remember her feeling guilty about it at some point). As for the age difference between the actors, Moon Chae Won looks pretty young for her age, so it doesn't bother me so much. They're both baby-faced so I think they're cute together.
Regardless of which pairing you're rooting for, I find it kind of insensitive to refer to a character (Geum) as a "weakling" and a "crybaby" just because he expresses his emotions. Does a man have to hide his emotions to be considered strong? That's an old mentality that really needs to go away.
Reading other commemts is it just me who really likes this drama and actually really enjoy how this is progressing.
I think in part it's too weird for some people (I find this aspect charming) and others aren't too happy with the possibility of the FL ending up with the male love interest that they aren't rooting for. I try not to let other people's opinions influence my enjoyment of a drama.
I'll probably cry.
