Feel free to disagree... but this is MY OPINION about DW's acting so you don't have to agree. I personally expected more of his interpretation of Jing's character and felt his acting didn't convince me which was why I couldn't get into his character despite trying. I also felt the same regarding his acting in his role in TTEOTM - it was meh, but he did great in Miss the Dragon and he and the 2FL carried the drama. These are my thoughts, which respectfully may be different from yours and that is OK! I also agree with you that XY doesn't owe XL anything, and I didn't say that he did... My comments have been about the sad ending that he will face and how the author wrote that and joked about the sinking ship, so I hope you're interpreting the way I'm seeing it and not reading into something that isn't there. This forum should allow people of various, differing viewpoints to express their thoughts freely and in a positive way. We can agree to disagree. We don't have to be on the same side or ship. And this is not a Ship war... I am not attacking any Jing/TSJ fans. While on here, I'm more interested in reading people's comments and opinions and understanding why they think the way they think and what is their motivation when they express their viewpoints. There is NO absolute right or wrong with liking characters...some like Jing others like XL. I have my preference, but I enjoy reading other people's preferences and how they arrived at that. The thinking process is most interesting to me...

Well, I think all that he will do for her will far make up for the beatings that happened early in the drama... I know some people are triggered by beatings/stockholm syndrome/etc and I'm not here to reduce it. This story is fantasy genre with mythological characters.. and in mythology these deities, demons engage in fights, beat each other up, get hurt, regenerate, some die and reincarnate over mutliple lifetimes... so I don't apply human physical pain to these deities/demons when I watch these drama because they are different. Now if this was a historical ancient chinese than I would not have liked any character inflicting physical pain on their loved ones or potential love interest. So this drama is complete mythology/ fantasy fiction to me - that allows me the opportunity to escape into another world, another experience...
