No worries. The only references to North Korea was in the first and second episode, where she had the photo with the soldier and the child (they were wearing North Korean military uniform), and then when she went to the same broker as 456. The broker who has spies in China etc said that although they couldn't find the child's body or whereabouts they still believe her to be dead. I want to see her redemption arc in the next season to be honest. This season ended with the father of the little girl being shot by one of the security who had a triangle mask. We don't know if he is killed or not, but it would be interesting to see who did it and if she gets involved in any way.

She is a North Korean defector who left her family in North Korea. She works in the games because she has been promised they'd find her daughter. She shoots twice because some of the soldiers are harvesting organs in secret. The job specification is to kill the ones who lose, so she is technically doing her job by shooting twice, it's the others who leave the survivors in pain and then undergo organ trafficking. She knows one of the players from her pervious workplace who is there to get money so his daughter can get the medicine needed for her leukemia. We see her human side through the little girl who used to be at the park and she gave her the candy. She might remind her of her own daughter. No spoilers but more of a background on her --

I agree! The FL in the c-drama was much spunkier and had no filters. The Korean child actors portrayed their characters very well though, especially the girl! I am excited to see where this goes. I also felt that the actress portraying Sanha's mum in the Chinese drama was wayyyyy more cruel than the Korean actress in the same role, but we've only seen 2 eps. with her.

Chinese dramas tend to be longer than Korean ones. However, as a fan of Go Ahead, this one has a strong start so far! really enjoying it 😍

I agree with the first part, however for this timeline I think he got a lower sentence and came out earlier. I think the scene where she looks at the post, the one that she picks up but doesn't open is to tell her that her attacker is out again *this is what I think at least* in this timeline, there is an accident that we don't know much about that happened 14years earlier // Sunjae was there to save her too but someone went through a window or something -- i think that was the dream. So in present, attacker attacked her twice, first time she was saved by car and Sunjae, attacker not seen. 2nd time, attacker probably got a sentence and it makes sense since 14years in prison over something like that would actually be a good time to serve.

I think I didn't clarify it better, the drama name is Secret and the plot has a big focus on the villans in the drama. It is just 1 drama but has a lot of stuff going on.

Have you seen Secret (with Ji Sung and Hwang Jung Eum). Feel like it is one of the most underrated dramas out there. The "villans" couldn't have been written any better! And Kingdom, it's a more recent drama, but sooooo good. Some of the best cinematography I've seen in a very long time. Really has the whole package.

I started in early 2020 as well. Ahahaha lockdown made me do it. Just make sure you take your time to enjoy the dramas and if you want any recs. I have a ton hehe (not the hyped famous ones, but older or just hidden gems) :)

Watched this cause I needed new Byun Woo Seok content since I started Lovely Runner. This was sad, however, maybe because it is a movie, it didn't hit as hard as a drama would. I still cried at the end. However, I felt like the chemistry between the leads wasn't as strong as that of Lovely Runner. Glad that he is now getting lead roles and nailing them!

I reallllllly liked the FL and the focus was not about the couple but more about the cases, although, they did have good chemistry that could evolve in season 2 if they want to focus on it

if I understood correctly or maybe guessed it, in episode 5, the grandfather went to an orphanage and did the whole Napoleon speech and there was a focus on two children, a girl and a boy. I think something might have happened back then and they re going after the family together. If I am right, then she is the woman who married Hong Soo Cheol and he was an ex boyfriend of Hong Hae In. In one of the previous episodes we also saw her sneak drinking her husband's whiskey.
