I think they gave us hints even earlier, when the fortunate teller told that they are like mountain and river. But I also do feel that the show has ended on a hopeful note and that she will be back.

I am personally fine with the end of the second couple. It would be nice to see more happy things though. I expected till the end to see a big family with children running around, heh...
I also thought that a war demon and Curly would be a nice couple. They could show us Xia being happy and in love and one of the weapon spirits going back to the woman he loves. That all would be more fulfilling. But all in all it was a good watch. This is certainly my favourite character of ML so far.

On a side note, I noticed our High Priest is not so pale anymore. Probably because he is recovered 🌞

I actually like his character a lot here. Can't remember another drama with similar character where man did not become a simp after falling in love

Finally caught up with all available episodes and now I am scared of what is going to happen next. I must say that after many years, there is finally a xianxia to enjoy. I can relate to ML and I don't think the romance is slow. It is just perfect pace for me. I get bored if leads are together too soon. Even the second leads are not as boring as I expected them to be after reading the comments here 😀
That hug scene at the end of ep 26 would be a perfect ending for me 😅 if things won't end up well, this is what I am going to keep in my memory as ending 😀

I am on ep 11 now and I must say it is quite refreshing to see that all the tropes (saving, chasing, ...) are done by FL, not by ML so far. I like it. The comedy moments are also good 👍

lol, you go too far accusing me of not watching the show properly. She spent a day or two with her, it does not mean building a bond. He chose a wife to protect his family, not a wife that would love his daughter. I also was not saying he forced her to marry him. It was clearly a deal. He makes her the noblest of the noblest, she protects his family. I dont understand why so many people accusing her of not going into that small girls demands in the moment she is already heartbroken because of her mother's death and the fact that her brother tried to kill her. That is a lot to handle

He did try. He wanted to marry her off and kill her on the way to the groom. I believe he would not just let her live her life even after marrying her off because she knows too much

He was the one who threw that pin into the wall. So everything is basically his own fault. I just don't understand why they are not at least a bit thankful to her for saving their lives

Do you btw think that father will be sad because of his son? Taking into account he killed one of his daughters, prepared to kill another one and was ok by killing his only lineal baby son (because no way a baby would survive being canned)?

I will be fine with a hint of future romance at the end. She just lost her mother because of her father. I can't imagine she is in the mood for a romance. But after the revenge is done, the love may bloom. I would be content with the same ending as empress and emperor had in Are you the one

I like the dresses in the drama, especially the ones with high collar. I don't often see them, is Ming dynasty not very popular?
