Reading the MingLan arguments in soompi was too much when it was airing. The SML was such a wimp in MingLan. I agree that people have their own opinion regarding ML and SML in MingLan but people were still arguing over one another and somewhat forcing their opinions without respecting the other person stance.

In the novel, Si Feng love curse got activated three times but in the novel there wasn't a limit of three times like how the drama was. In the novel, it said that eventually the love curse will exhaust his energy and he will eventually die if XuanJi didn't love him. It is a happy ending don't worry. The drama seems to be making everything more of an emotional roller coaster than the novel(the novel is still a roller coaster).
In the novel, Baidi/Hao Chen didn't interfere at all like how he is doing now in the drama.

Yes, RY is not that evil compared to the deputy palace master but yes he betrayed bc of his sister was held hostaged. I can't say about brother liu bc I didn't read too much of his story(i don't know if he is a demon, but I am assuming he is), but in the novel brother liu's daughter was already dead and not involved in the plot like how the drama is.
In the novel there was really no detail of the separate evil demon clan, the deputy palace master was acting on his own by manipulating everyone else in Li Ze Palace. The palace master was just clueless about the deputy palace master plans. The palace master is just obsessive in wanting to destroy the other sects bc he is delusional. He was obsessively in love with a disciple from one of the sect(si feng's mother). In the novel, she committed suicide bc of shame after she escaped from him after being kidnapped and r*ped. The palace master blamed all the sects for her death and wanted revenge. In the novel, the palace master love curse was never resolved only his memory was altered to believed that si feng's mother loved him back.

In the novel their wings are sealed, and Ruo Yu is a demon but he is also not their friend like Brother Liu. Ruo Yu will betray them since he is the direct disciple of the Deputy Palace master(guy with the fan). Lize Palace was established by demons pretending to be mortals in the novel but not sure how the scriptwriters will explain that in the drama so we'll have to wait and see. In the novel they go out and search for other wings demons to take back to Li Ze palace using force if necessary and bascially imprison them there. Obviously not everyone in Li Ze palace are evil demons (example Si Feng and brother liu).
In the novel, Si Feng will later become the temporary Palace master after his dad dies to reform the rules and guide them on the right path as demons. But like I said the drama could be completely different so how the story unfolds could be different but I do think the plot of SiFeng leading Li ze palace will still be in the drama.
