Just watched it and agree. I also previously read comments and thought I was prepared but it is heavy. It might not be a binge all in one go, especially if any of the tags/spoilers hit close to home or trigger you, however the first ep doesn't have much apart from setting up a foundation (plot wise). Imo Its a good watch but I wouldn't recommend unless you feel completely comfortable and ready :)

Also if you ever find yourself in a position where you find you're not coping or are feeling really low, please do try talk to someone you trust or seek professional help! Easier said than done for some, but you belong on this Earth. Keep Going, it does get better <3

Heck, I was SUPER WRONG. The ending was sad but I don't think that left the biggest effect on me (ha trying to lighten the mood with a pun). I think the storyline is pretty realistic and it hurts to know people experience that. Not only is rape an issue in many parts of the world, but also depression and other mental health issues, and a lot of the time, it gets overlooked. Cases like Shin's where it's never reported are probably more common than we'd like to believe, especially in male victims cases (I think this has many statistics behind it if you're curious and want to do a google). It was nice he had a good support system from his friends and family, however, it may have also benefitted him to get professional help as well.

I think the scenes that affected me the most was definitely the attempted suicide in ep 3. You could really see how broken he felt, and for anyone who has experienced that same feeling of wanting to escape, I think most would agree. It was executed really well imo and it conveyed really well what I believe they wanted to. Feelings of being lost, like nothing will ever get better. Feeling like it is the only way out, the only way for it to all end. Waking up, having his parents next to him, unsure what to do next, but regardless relieved that he is alive.

I want to just say again how much I love his friends and his parents. Sometimes people find it tiring to try support others when they're not doing their best, especially when its usually ongoing for an extended period. I love that they always tried their best to support him and be patient!

Honestly, I had read spoilers a while ago, so I thought I was prepared to watch this.

Yesssss I felt so bad for Q! He was getting mixed signals, but regardless stayed a great friend. T-T One of my fave characters in this!

Also Q had feelings for Oh-aew right??? I didn't misread the signals? Q was such a good character and friend so I felt a bit bad for him when the poor guy was hardcore friend-zoned :(

I both love and hate the ending....
Anyway, as always, the production was great and it was a nice watch! Good acting as well

I LOVED THE SCENE WHERE THE GIRL IN THE PIG EARS AND NOSE WAS RUNNING FILMING HER SELF IN THE UNDERGROUND MARKETS LMAO.
Also the scene where the family of super pigs pushes their baby under the electric wire to go home with okja and mija ABSOLUTELY BROKE MY HEART. I LOST IT AND STARTED BAWLING.

BRB,,,, BUSY CRYING T-T anyway I think like a lot of others I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. Originally I just wanted to watch it bc of woo shik but man I'm glad I watched it. Very sweet and heartwarming. The very last bit kinda feels like it could lead into a part 2 so hopefully one day!!
