Craving for more ml's scenes does not make someone misogynist. I think it's too far saying like this.If I said…
You can always watch a drama that is ml-centric, if you are not satisfied with level of ml scenes in this drama.

I don't see any women or men crying that ml-centric dramas doesn't have any fl focused scenes.

If you are not a misogynist, you aren't bright enough to understand the fl-centric drama is going to have few ml scenes.

I am neither a women, nor am I attracted to women. Yet, I love this drama.

OST: Help me find the song they played in ep 23, when they are writing letters to each other. Spotify would be great, youtube would work too.

Huang LongFei, Gu Jiu Si's former immediate boss, and current subordinate was brilliant in that scene just before he discovered Gu Jiu Si was promoted.

I loved his performance during the scene. Does anyone know the name of the actor and is he on dramalist?

Earlier someone commented how Gu Jiu Si is one of the most healthy and desirable partner. I can't agree more, after seeing him handle the conversation with Liu Yu Ru & Shen Ming on the fact Liu Yu Ru had to spend the night in bandit fort.

It was also a refreshing change in an historical drama. After watching so many dramas that make a huge deal out of women having spent a night out, the Destined's take was refreshing and welcoming one.

OMG! I loved watching Liu Yu Ru being a bit reckless. It was refreshing to see her take revenge on Gu Jiu Si's immediate boss. It was more great that Gu Jiu Si caught her read-handed. Oh, the tables sure have turned

I'm on ep 24. So far, not really.
My understanding is that Jiang He (Gu Jiu Si 's maternal uncle) & Prince Liang intended to rebel after the Emperor's death, as the Crown Prince was unpopular.

However, Emperor and Crown Prince were aware of their intentions. Emperor had decreed Gu Jiu Si to marry someone from the Royal Family. I assume the Emperor was either testing the loyalty of Jiang He or intended to weaken the alliance between Jiang He and Prince Liang.

As Jiang He and Prince Liang had initially planned to rebel against unpopular Crown Prince after the Emperor's death, it would have been in their best interest if Gu Jiu Si had gotten married as per the Emperor's decree. As Emperor might not have taken the threat posed by Jiang He and Prince Liang seriously. The failure of the marriage alliance resulted in Jiang He's demotion and Prince Liang's forced retirement. It forced them to rebel ahead of time, while the Emperor was still in the throne.

Gu Jiu Si's parents didn't want Gu Jiu Si's marriage involved in the fight for the throne. That's the sole reason they married Gu Jiu Si before the decree could arrive. Their rejection of marriage threw a wrench in Jiang He and Prince Liang's plan. It also made it look like Gu family is siding with the rebels, against the Emperor & Crown Prince.

In short, Gu family despite having benefited from the Jiang He's position as Minister of Personnel, they decided to be a bystander in the fight to the Throne. They would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for Commissioner of YangZhou and Luo Zi Shang.

Remember that Gu family doesn't know Luo Zi Shang's involvement with Commissioner of YangZhou. Without Luo Zi Shang, Commissioner of YangZhou wouldn't have known that Jiang He was going to face demotion, and armed himself for the mutiny. He wouldn't have figured out that Gu family is relocating and escaping from his control. If it wasn't for Luo Zi Shang's involvement, Gu family would have gotten away with being the bystander in the fight for throne. They probably calculated and planned without factoring in Luo Zi Shang, who for some reason, want the Gu family dead.

Checked this out because it was recommended on page of The Love You Give Me, can't stop laughing each time they show the chest "bleeding" for getting dumped.

Yao Zi Zhu is so sweet, that the love triangle between Zhou Ru Ji , Min Hui and Yao Zi Zhu is probably the only time I liked watching a love triangle.

She really wishes the best for him. She knows he will regret if he never confess his feeling to Min Hui. Usually, when a person in a love triangle uses their crush's phone to communicate with the third person, I would be so pissed off. But, Yao Zi Zhu is literally sending him on a date with his crush. How can I be mad at her?

Did the Commissioner Wang really rape Ye Yun?If he did, please tell me it is Ye Yun who murders Commissioner Wang.
LY as in Liu Yu Ru?

While, I have grown to like Gu Jiu Si & Liu Yu Ru as the couple, I was always wondering what if Gu family had let her marry Ye Shi An instead. But, ep 15 answered that for me.

Ye Yun was right in saying that her brother only knows how to study. Ye Yun called it on the wedding day of Gu Jiu Si & Liu Yu Ru. Gu Jiu Si is more reliable.

Throughout the whole chaos,Gu Jiu Si had a plan. His miscalculation was that he didn't expect Commissioner Wang to kill his own son. He held himself together, when Yang Wen Chang was used as a bait by Commissioner Wang and Luo Zi Shang.

Whereas, Ye Shi An made the mistake of taking the bait, in turn he ended up making her sister hostage to her rapist, with no way out.

Yeah, that system changed because some people said slavery is wrong. And it shouldn't be legal. You would be the person who would scream, "law is the law", "you are trying to abandon our culture because you want approval from xxx country".

People like you should be born as second class citizen in some backward country in next life. Then you would understand how absurd it is say that, "it is illegal to give x and y equal rights".

I really wish you be born as women in some middle eastern country where it is illegal for women to go outside without a family male. You should experience that kind of discriminatory law in your next life.

You make a choice about who you vote for. The party chooses to oppose same sex marriage recognition. You chose your religion. You chose your faith.

Gay people don't chose to be gay. They are born gay.

You cry about being attacked for your opinion. All you have to do is, change your opinion. But you attack gay people. The only way they can escape from your attack is by dying.

I don't feel bad for all the attacks you are getting.

A female author can defintely write a BL, but if she is going to make one of the lead character into "women" in…
I agree! I am so tired of one of the guy calling the other one "wifey". You are decribing what we "woke" gays call as heteronormativity. It is almost like these people can't surive in the heterosexual romantic drama where the volume is high, as a result the competition is so high. So, they start writing BLs, that could be easily turned into a heterosexual romantic drama by casting one of the Main Couple as female.

Your "disagreement" was packed with preconception about the LW's creators and their target audience. You are being hypocritical that what you are saying is "I disagree with this show and I am going to attack them as "guise of being woke", but if you call me "disgruntled author" I would call you out for attacking me personally".

Since you seemed to miss the character development of the lead in the first episode, I'll fill you inExternal…
Being a "woke" shows doesn't mean having zero problematic characters, but rather showing a problematic character grow and develop in a healthy way. Because we all have flaws, we can only hope to be better person than we were yesterday. I admire the fact that Gene has some self-awareness about toxic and unhealthy behaviour, the character has great potenial for strong character arc.
