This show barely has anything to do with sex in a long run. It has a larger picture and I think you need to understand that. Do some light reading (the links that I added above) , and don't take others opinions too heavily, hun. (:

"weird flex" to you. That's your opinion. Save Me has many of the same religious and sick motifs. The show has many things that the book doesn't as well if you look into both and give them a chance.
Men are treated on a very different social status than woman in Korea. Directors such as Ahn Pan Seok dive into uncharted places where dramas haven't been before. They might not be romantic and gushy: but they are real.
There's always many sides to one story. Look at each one before you make an opinion, okay? (: It makes you more of a comprehensive watcher to not dwell on one opinion too much and become open minded.

Here are some articles of light reading regarding the true aspects of the show:

It is not just about sex and misdemeanor to woman: it's about SO much more. There are MANY LGBTQ+ in the series that fight to make a change. There are male 'eyes' that go against the government in the series that brings more of a different importance. People often overlook these things. There are so many elements to explore.

This drama might not be for everyone, and everyone is titled to their own opinion- but to really understand this on a deeper level to the questions I can’t seem to answer for you- read the book. This world is full of disgusting things- it’s just a fact of life.

Gilead is a pretend world in a dystopian setting. All of the inside of Gilead is fake. Only some aspects have been proven by history.

I ve never liked this series ,if its to enforce the women they should ve stopped the torture and violence by now…
This series is based off of a book. Margaret Atwood also used actual events that happened. She used it to signal to everyone of what COULD happen. This is fiction, and it is very important to understand this so that history never repeats in a worse form. It’s the reason why a new femininity movement is forming. You shouldn’t take this series too seriously- it’s a symbolic show. Look at it in different lights.

This show has netflix money behind it.
The audience should put their trust into the writer and director as well. They have a major streaming service to back the project up.

There's something truly emotional when an actress portrays a mother on screen. Seo In's mother made my heart leap out of my chest when she found out.
After binging The Handmaid's Tale, I realized how hard it is to portray a mother on screen in such a way, and with such conflict. A mother knows their daughter, and loves them. For her daughter to be misused instinctively makes her feel like she has been unfaithful towards her - when that isn't the case.
The father has an awful mindset, and seems to not put into priority that these woman are being emotionally and physically abused by men who think they have power over everyone and everything around them. In many ways, the way men are portrayed in this drama have some similar motifs to The Handmaid's Tale. It's a warning to everyone watching how men can manipulate. If a man hurts you in any way, run.
This may be difficult to watch, but it has so many important messages.

My guess? We are about to see the slow-mo drop of the iron fist of a male-dominated society try to crush our lovebirds.…
I wish the director - this time will bring a female fist into the mix. Males are so powerful in each and every society across the globe, and each stride females take to change this keeps getting pushed back by mysoginistic men who grew up with this constant mindset that they "own" woman. This character is so special because she breaks barriers- loving a single man with a child in a society where it is deemed pitiful, and tearing away from her parents idealized man whom is connected to money.

If this goes the way we all plan (and it prob. will not), it will be a kick in the face to modern society- a 'me too' movement intended for others to wake up and see the reality they have caused. A big scarlet letter moment. Place a J on our chest- for justice.

You're right, it doesn't make sense- but that's because you haven't watched enough yet for things to puzzle piece together with the plot. Give it a chance first and don't come to such conclusions. Everything is surely written for a reason.

I honestly think that Ni Na isn't that bad of a family member to Yeon Soo. She just wants to be noticed by her parents. I don't think her greed has anything to do with Yeon Soo- she just wants to have attention to. Everyone has a secret plan to destroy YS and it really makes me feel bad for Ni Na.

AND CAN I SAY... EP 14 MADE ME C R Y

I'm just gonna say- I am starting to love the mother. She doesn't put up with any shit going on behind her back! She's like my mother and would beat people if she found out someone was hurting me. Go her. The father on the other hand sounds like a misogynist jerk who believes that being married "solves problems". What problems you ask? Greed and money.

I love hearing how great this show is! I want to watch it so bad but I don't want to be like a crack addict spending…
FastDrama and watchasian.io are always updating pretty fast with subs, btw.
Also, some new dramas are getting added to Netflix US, so they aren't as hard to find as before.

The female lead in here seems to be much stronger than in something in the rain and I like that quite alot.
I agree completely. She's very poised, and takes no shit.
