as weird as it sounds, I think this had my favourite death scene, with the dream and the bomb and Maki 'saving' him and then Toru drifting off with a smile :')
here we have a perfect example of when a character is piss poor and in debt but still owns lots of fancy clothes <---- the result of being a shopaholic
I thought for sure this was directed by the same people who did Liar Game but apparently not (it has similar editing but here it's more annoying).
Apropos clones, main male lead looks like a clone of that kid from Minami-kun no Koibito remake
omg Nagase Tomoya! I love him, seriously. First time I laid my eyes on him, I couldn't believe he was one of the johnny's boys, he's so incredibly hot (and talented and funny too).
In Too Young to Die, he did what he does best which is make me laugh. He didn't hold back at all. Kudokan+Nagase OTP is my favourite OTP madafaka
A Sion Sono film that you can watch with your whole family! I love it that you can take everything at face value…
"take everything at face value or read more into it"
that's basically the epitome of Sion Sono for me. No matter how weird and random his movies appear I never find them 'empty' (even stuff like Tokyo Tribe or Tag) because there's always some metaphors and underlying messages that give them depth.
