His last drama Silent Tides which aired December 2025 last year has a long happy ending. 🙂

So this already back to back happy endings

Yes she could actually. But if he didnt response, then she wont be able to talk to him. Without his memories, he might think people just out to get him since he is a war demon. 😅

They met again. Its only time for them to fall in love again. We see it how she falls for him even without her memories, so he could too. Its just a matter of time. The ending is very hopeful instead of bleak. 😀

He actually have 13 dramas with happy endings. And he dies in only 4 dramas.

He is indeed an empty shell since he lost his memories. But pay attention to details as he still got his personality like his costume design doesnt change, he loves to eat once he got his taste back and everything else is still the same. Just like Mei when she lost her memories, she is still Mei.

Remember when he asked Chu Yibg to remind him again if he forgets? And once he sees Mei and know her again, he will still fall in love with her again. They will create a new memory together again. And maybe someday, certain memories will make him rememebr everything again. And also remember their blood pact is still there and will alwaya be.

If we start seeing this from all the foreahadowing and clues the writer gave us in the last 2 episodes, its all lead to happy ending. It might take time, but we know they will get there.

It wont cheapen their relationship but instead elevate it since the decision he has to make at that time for a greater good has weight. And that weight is their entire relationship together.

Just like Asheng ascend to Heaven just by killing Xia Xuanzi, LQQ contribution is much bigger and will be rewarded even more.

He only dies in 4 of his 22 dramas so you can actually watch a lot of his dramas.

The blood pact should remain as they only wipe his memories. If any one of them on the verge of death, it would trigger it.

Love of Nirvana is great. Like totally great. So much substance and subtext in the script. I highly recommend it if you genuinely want to watch a great drama.

And the love really equally. One of the best love stories Ive seen in recent years. And RJL and Li Landi got great chemistry together. You will start the drama thinking how can they be lovers and finished the drama totally convinced they are soulmates. 🙂

Indeed another unique scripts from RJL. Its easy to be his fan because he picked great materials.

Lu Qianqiao’s decision to be a Perfect War Demon in the end didnt cheapen his whole journey but actually put emphasis on the great sacrifice he has to make. Since at the end, he need to chose between his own personal wants versus the greater good. I actually expect that since the beginning of the drama since that decision has weight.

All XianXia and Wuxia dramas always have this as a the central theme. Its refers to Xia which translate to ‘Hero’. Thus his sacrifice for the greater good made him a hero in this story as this is his story. Can you imagine if he didnt have to make that decision? Then it ddidnt honor the genre of this drama which is XianXia which means ‘Immortal Hero’.

I think when the writer told us it would be satisfying happy ending, since despite his great sacrifice, he still get what he wants at the end — not only his power, his 5 senses as the curse against his clan being lifted INCLUDING reuniting with his wife and friends.

They explained everything in the beginning of the drama about the 5 curses. Then you will understand why he wants to be human.

To be honest, its been a long time since I come across drama that is this well written. The details and subtexts in the script took my breath away aside from the heavy messages and social commentaries the drama wants to send across.

He didnt keep taking. This is a drama he is forced to take to leave his agency. All his dramas after he leave his agency are non romance dramas.

And he did kissing scenes if its required him to as can be seen in full romance dramas like Forever and Ever and The Blue Whisper. 😅

I actually want a whole 2 episodes of their happy ending. Not 2 episodes of her searching for him. 😭

The writer said it would he satisfying happy ending. 🥲🤣 I feel being lied to. 🫠

This drama is not messy. It is actually very well written with proper structures. Everything was set up way earlier before the events happened. They also show a lot than tell so you need to pay attention since they wont explain some things to you.

I didnt watch any of the drama from the same universe and I understand it just fine.

This kind of script is very intelligent with lots of social commentaries and food of thoughts arguments. Many of the messages in the drama can be linked to modern problems like the class system, high tax, high cost of living, socioeconomy matters, also lots of critique about economy and politic.

I would say this drama is a bit on the high end conpared to other XianXia dramas which usually focus on romance more. This drama main theme would be Mortal vs Immortality, Rules vs Moral and Segregation vs Fairness.

That said, you like what you like. But this drama probably will get high Douban ratings for how strong is the script.

His last drama with kissing scene is last year; The Demon Hunter’s Romance with Song Zuer.

This drama have only a little bit of romance as the focus is his character’s journey to become human.

What a ride! It was intense 5 episodes finale before they gave us 2 episodes to see the aftermath of the events. We can see how every character is doing even Ying Ying. 😃

That said, it is a very emotional episodes for me before the writer gave us our couple’s happy ending. I just wish it is more as she said **satisfying happy ending** lol.

All the scenes that gave me waterworks. Its is great how much this drama made me feel. Basically:

1. Xin Mei’s Shifu dies - 🥹
2. Lu Qianqiao reminisce all his happy times before he becomes Perfect War Demon - 😭😭😭😭😭
3. A’Sheng dies in Xin Mei’s arms - 😭😭😭
4. Then Xin Mei calling Lu Qianqiao many times but he didnt recognise her - 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
5. I even cry when Li Muhan is imagining his father - 🥹🥹
6. Basically all reminisce scenes - 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 lol

I actually like how the ending commented about the 9/9 Heavenly Talents. The overall message is to critique on people’s belief of divination. In the end, they all Heavenly Talents that saved the world regardless of their birthdates.

Also, despite hoping for more, I like how Lu Qianqiao got what he wants at the end even at a great cost. He becomes even more powerful, he has all his senses now and he reunited with Mei and Chu Ying.

Ohh yess. I prefers him in that kind of stories more. Like Silent Tides is so so amazing!

He does romance really well and mostly all his romance dramas are hits. But he already pass that age and now after leaving Huanrui, he wanted to pick up dramas that more to his liking.

And on Monday. They always so cruel like this to RJL dramas 🙁

Is it? I commented everyday actually after every episode release. It must have been drawn out from all the comments. But this drama has so many themes and heavy messages. Im totally blown away. Its fun dissecting it everyday. The social commentaries is really a lot.

He will be doing serious dramas from now on. After filming this drama, he filmed Silent Tides and The Abyss — both are serious dramas. His next rumour project is CCTV Tang Dynasty Epic. So we probably wont see him filming idol dramas anymore.
