Which plot twist may I ask?

In the end, did he killed all of his guardians? Because they seemed to have suffer internally when he broke the artifact. And he continue to reign the kingdom after walking through the light, right? Since, his achievements in the later years was narrated before the drama ends. Then, what is the light? And why he walked to it? It was so ambiguous and I remember being really pissed with the ending lol.

Secret Forest would always be special to me tbh. First, it is because of the intelligent script and second, the bad guy is actually the real hero of the story (Robin Hood style of hero). I love it when both the good and bad guys are extremely intelligent.

Spot on analysis! They usually have the same formula that you can guess the culprit right away. When I first watch Jdramas (eon years ago), I had a hella good times enjoying the revelation for dramas like Kindaichi (Tsuyo's version) since the culprit is always the one who we least suspected the most (the most innocent). The Kindaichi manga is the same as well. It will start with lots of characters with very suspicious behaviours that it made you dying inside to wait for the next series for the revelation. And true enough, the real culprit is always the least suspecting thus it made a great revelation. ^^

I think the last time that I truly didn't suspect the culprit when I watch dramas/tv shows is Mr. Robot. The 1st season finale was so surprising that I couldn't believe the revelation lol (yes, it was very well done since I cant predict it like AT ALL). Then it suddenly comes like a perfect puzzle on why everything is very weird from the beginning lol! I think smart writer is the one who gives hints but very small and insignificant hints that you tend to dismiss it. Then when they gives you the revelation, it hits you right in the head since all those small hints makes sense at the end of the day.

For me, Tunnel is really a missed opportunity. I really cant enjoy the drama because it is full of dumb characters who made really questionable decisions despite they are supposed to be professional. :( I dropped the drama at the 10th episode when my brain cells cant tolerate it any longer.

BTW, I always knew the autopsy guy is the real mastermind because he is very suspicious but I cant remember they are supposed to be 2 bad guys? Who is the one ' that I recognised him from his voice after just one sentence.'? Which actor play him? Sorry, I dont remember this at all.

I have to agree on this. Its easy to know the real culprit as he will be the famous actors lol

This drama is complicated so it is understandable if you may missing the point and couldnt see how all the cases are interconnected with each other. It goes to micro-level kind of detail and you may missed if you are not alert enough. The leads are highly intelligent that you wont question his actions since all his moves are very calculated. This drama is the only drama which you cannot pinpoint any plot holes or inconsistencies since the writer covers everything -- right from the leads to all the small characters. That is why the script was selected as the best script for Kdrama in year 2018.

It is definitely better than Signal if you look at script technicality. Those who actually study writing will without a doubt chose Secret Forest as a better script in every single aspect.

S2 is much better than S1 but the ending though.. Why Kdramas love pretentious ending I have no idea.

This story like is 100 times better than CLOY storyline imo. CLOY has generic plot for romantic comedy while this one was creative, unpredictable, think out of the box, nerve-wrecking and just awesome in a whole level -- even if you dont like video games.

But just a question, usually main leads will suffers a lot like live in loneliness, being misunderstood and basically live a tragic and hard lives -- so you as a viewers tend to become emotional attached to the characters and want them to have a happy end. So when you want these characters to end tragically, is it because you have zero attachment to the characters? Is it possible to like one characters but wish them to end tragically? I hope my question didnt offend you since I want to see the POV of people who like/okay with tragic endings. Chinese historical dramas, despite being great always have tragic ends and it pissed me off lol.

Regarding Goblin, I didnt like the end either. It leave a bad taste to my mouth that he waited that long for her to reincarnate again. You shouldn't make your character that pitiful imo.

What is the examples of forced happy endings' dramas in your list?

There's none since the main plot is not about romance. But the friendship is one of the best I have ever seen though! And the male lead is charming as hell. One of the best male characters I have seen in recent years.

7.5/10 - Love the story but the ending was very predictable and disappointing. Nojima Shinji rarely kill his main characters but he did it TWICE with Tsuyo. ;_;

Getting a donor is next to impossible. People usually die waiting for a heart transplant. When she falls for him, she tried to cast him away and try to commit suicide as well so the daughter can get her heart instead (but its not allowed in medical POV).

9.5/10 - I freaking love this drama! A++ writing. Tsuyo is GREAT in this role. A rewatch material without a doubt.
